Brief Introduction
Mianyang 绵阳, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, is the only science and technology city in China approved by the CPC Central Committee and The State Council. It is the second-largest economy in Sichuan, one of the seven regional central cities cultivated and expanded, the regional central city of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration, and an important national defense scientific research and electronic industry production base.
Mianyang is located the northwest of Sichuan Basin, in the middle and upper reaches of The Fujiang River. Qingchuan County, Jiange County, and Nanbu County, Xichong County of Guangyuan city in the east; South Suining city Shehong City; West of Deyang City Luojiang District, Zhongjiang County, Mianzhu City; It borders Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture and Wenxian County of Gansu Province in the northwest. Mianyang is the birthplace of the poet Li Bai and Ouyang Xiu, one of the “eight masters of Tang and Song Dynasties”, the hometown of Lei Zu, the mother of silk and concubine yuan of the Yellow Emperor, and the birthplace of Dayu, founder of the Xia Dynasty.

Railways: Mianyang has baocheng Railway, Xizheng-Chengdu passenger dedicated Line and Chengmian-Lesheng intercity Railway running through the city, with mianyang station, Jiangyou Station and Qinglian Station. Mianyang Station is the second largest railway station in Sichuan Province.
Aviation: Mianyang Nanjiao Airport 绵阳南郊机场 is located in Mianyang city, Sichuan Province. It was completed and opened to traffic in April 2001. It is 10 kilometers away from the city center and is connected to Baocheng Railway, Chengmian Highway, Mianguang Expressway and Jiuzhai Ring Road. The airport has a civil 4D grade with a runway length of 2,400 meters, an apron area of 111,000 square meters, 20 parking lots and a terminal building area of 26,000 square meters. It is the second largest airport in Sichuan Province.
