Guang Zhou 广州, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, is the capital of Guangdong Province, the sub-provincial city, and the national center city; Approved by the State Council of China’s important center city, the international trade center, and comprehensive transportation hub.
From the Qin and Han Dynasties (秦汉朝) to the Ming and Qing Dynasties (明清朝), Guang Zhou has been an important port city of China’s foreign trade and the starting point of China’s Maritime Silk Road for more than 2,000 years. During the Tang Dynasty (唐朝), this Maritime Silk Road（海上丝绸之路） was called “Guang Zhou Tonghaiyi Road”（广州通海夷道）.
