1、 Article 39 of the law of the people’s Republic of China on the administration of exit and entry stipulates: “if foreigners stay in hotels in China, the hotels shall handle accommodation registration for them in accordance with the relevant provisions on the administration of public security in the hotel industry, and submit the information on foreigners’ accommodation registration to the local public security organ.
If a foreigner lives or lodges in a residence other than a hotel, he or she shall register with the public security organ in his or her place of residence within 24 hours after check-in. “
2、 Foreigners who live or lodge in other residences other than hotels shall apply to the local police station of the public security organ for accommodation registration. If there is a police office of the public security organ or a service station for foreigners in the place of accommodation, you can apply for accommodation registration in the police office of the public security organ or the service station for foreigners. Colleges and universities that recruit foreign students and units that host foreigners may, as lodgers, report to the local public security organ for accommodation registration on behalf of the foreigners themselves in accordance with the provisions of the law.
3、 According to Article 76 of the law of the people’s Republic of China on the administration of exit and entry, if an alien lives or lodges in a residence other than a hotel, but fails to report the registration of accommodation to the public security organ in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 39 of the law of the people’s Republic of China on the administration of exit and entry, he shall be given a warning and may also be fined not more than 2000 yuan.
4、 If a hotel fails to register foreigners’ accommodation in accordance with the provisions, it shall be punished in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law of the people’s Republic of China on administrative penalties for public security; Those who fail to submit the registration information of foreigners’ accommodation to the public security organ in accordance with the provisions shall be given a warning; If the circumstances are serious, he shall be fined not less than 1000 yuan but not more than 5000 yuan.
