I. Clinical Medicine in Jining Medical University: Introduction to the University

Jining Medical University was established in 1952 and is a provincial-level ordinary undergraduate medical college with a focus on medical education, developing in a coordinated manner with multiple disciplines including medicine, science, engineering, management, and humanities. The university is one of the first batch of colleges and universities in the country to implement the Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program and the first batch of application-oriented undergraduate colleges in Shandong Province. It currently has three campuses: Jining Taibai Lake Campus, Rencheng Campus, and Rizhao Campus.

The university currently has 19 teaching units and 35 undergraduate majors. Among them, there are 2 national first-class undergraduate majors, 2 national characteristic majors, and 18 provincial first-class undergraduate majors. The school has more than 18,000 full-time undergraduate and graduate students, and more than 1,600 faculty members.

There are 4 “Taishan Scholars” distinguished experts, 14 “Taishan Scholars” young experts, 3 provincial outstanding young and middle-aged experts, and 4 personnel enjoying special government allowances. The clinical medicine major has entered the top 5‰ of the ESI global rankings, and the pharmacology and toxicology discipline has entered the top 1% of the ESI global rankings. There is 1 directly affiliated hospital, 14 non-directly affiliated hospitals, and 169 practical teaching bases.

Over the years, the school has deeply implemented an open educational approach, establishing cooperative programs with several foreign universities including the University of Warwick in the UK, the University of Leicester in the UK, the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Russia, Volgograd State Medical University in Russia, Al-Azhar University in Egypt, Chungnam National University in South Korea, and the University of Malaya in Malaysia. These collaborations span various areas such as joint education, faculty and student exchanges, and academic exchanges, creating extensive and profound partnerships.

II. Clinical Medicine in Jining Medical University: Major Introduction

Name: Clinical Medicine (Undergraduate)

Duration: Six years (including the first year of preparatory studies)

Core courses: Systematic Anatomy, Regional Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pathogenic Biology, Medical Immunology, Pathology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Preventive Medicine, Diagnostics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Medical Psychology, Medical Ethics, Chinese, Overview of China, Medical Chinese.

Preparatory studies: Chinese, Medical Basic Chemistry, Medical Mathematics, Medical Physics, Overview of China, Cell Biology, Public Physical Education.

★This major only admits full-time international students. Applicants who have not reached Level 4 of the “International Chinese Proficiency Standards” are required to participate in the first-year language preparatory program.

III. Clinical Medicine in Jining Medical University: On Application

• Basic Conditions

The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen holding a foreign passport, in good physical and mental health, and has obtained a high school diploma. The applicant’s age is generally between 18-26 years old. The applicant should have a stable source of income and a reliable financial guarantor; promise to voluntarily comply with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and the management system of Jining Medical University during their stay in China; and choose to study at Jining Medical University voluntarily.

• Language Requirements

The Clinical Medicine major is taught in Chinese. Applicants must reach Level 4 of the “International Chinese Language Proficiency Standards” after completing the first year of language preparatory courses before they can proceed to study the Clinical Medicine major.

• Application Time

March 2025 — August 2025

• Registration Time

Starting from early September 2025, ending by the end of December 2025, enrollment will be filled according to the registration time. Please register for admission as stipulated in the admission notice. If the admitted person cannot register at the school on time, they should apply for leave to the college at least 1 week in advance. Without the permission of the college, those who fail to register without cause for more than two weeks will have their admission status revoked.

• Application Materials
• Application form for international students at Jining Medical University;
• Original or notarized copy of high school diploma (in Chinese or English), with expected graduation certificate provided for current graduates;
• Original high school transcript (with all subjects achieving level C or 60% and above) or notarized copy (in Chinese or English);
• Notarized copy of a certificate of no criminal record;
• Photocopy of the passport information page (with at least 18 months validity remaining);
• Color 2-inch passport photo without headgear, white background without frame, size not less than 320*240 pixels, size between 100-200KB, in JPG format;
• Notarized copy of the “Guardian’s Guarantee Letter”;
• “Foreigner’s Health Examination Form” issued by a municipal or higher-level hospital in the applicant’s home country. Applicants should strictly follow the items listed in the “Foreigner’s Health Examination Form” for examination. Any omissions, absence of applicant’s photo, photo without stamp, absence of doctor or hospital stamp, or absence of date will be considered invalid.
• If necessary,  our school will require applicants to submit additional materials.
• Regardless of admission status, the above materials will not be returned under any circumstances.

(VI) Application Procedure

1. After the applicant submits all application materials, they are required to participate in the online entrance examination according to the school’s stipulated schedule.
2. The     school will     determine  and issue    a    list of  provisional admissions based on the enrollment plan, the application materials provided by the applicants, and the results of the entrance examination, selecting the most outstanding candidates.
3. The school will issue the official admission notice and the “Application Form for Visa of Foreign Students to China” (JW202) to the intended admitted applicants. The admitted individuals must use the “Admission Notice” and the “Application Form for Visa of Foreign Students to China” (JW202) to apply for a study visa (X1) at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their respective countries. (Specific application requirements are subject to the relevant immigration policies, please consult the Embassy for information.)
4. Applicants must pay the first year’s tuition and accommodation fees, purchase insurance, pass the medical examination, and be qualified in the entrance examination before they can proceed with the registration of student status.

IV. Clinical Medicine in Jining Medical University: Tuition and Other Fees

Notes:

1. Water, electricity, and internet fees are charged separately, and accommodation fees will be adjusted according to the accommodation conditions as needed. The fee for handling the residence permit is 400 yuan/year/person.
2. China has implemented a comprehensive medical insurance system for international students coming to China, including accident insurance and medical insurance. Self-funded international students must purchase insurance that meets the standards set by the Ministry of Education. If the applicant does not purchase insurance, the school will not register the student’s enrollment. The insurance premium is 800 yuan/year/person.

• The school will charge all fees on an annual basis. Textbook fees are not included in tuition and are charged based on the actual price of textbooks each year.
• All the above fees are priced in Renminbi, with the unit being yuan.
• Remittance method: Campus payment platform.Please refer to the attachment for the specific operation process. Please mark the remitter’s name and passport number.

★The official school payment platform is the sole channel for tuition and accommodation fee payments.

• Log in to the official website of Jining Medical University (www.jnmc.edu.cn), click “Institutional Setup”-“Functional Departments” – “Administration” – “Finance Department” – “Online Payment Platform”; or directly access http://cwjf.jnmc.edu.cn/xysf/. The username is the student number, and the initial password is 000000.
• Click “Current Due Payments”, and the page will display the details and fees that need to be paid.
• Click “Tuition Payment” – “Due Tuition and Accommodation Fees”, the system will display the user’s arrears and details. Select the payment item you wish to pay for, click “Next”, and follow the instructions to complete the payment.

Note: Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) can only make payments through the bank’s mobile banking or K-code.

• Check the payment, download and print the electronic invoice. Click on “Transaction Inquiry” in the navigation bar – “Paid Information” – “Details” – “Operation Column”, and you will see the payment details. Click on the icon below “Invoice Inquiry”, and an electronic invoice will be issued. If needed, you can download or print it yourself.

II. Mobile Payment

• Search for “Jining Medical University Financial Affairs Department” through WeChat official account, enter the account and click on “Student Payment Inquiry” – “Student Payment”.
• Register personal information. The username is the student ID, and the initial password is 000000.
• Click on “Tuition and Accommodation Fees Pending Payment”, the system will display the user’s arrears and details. Select the payment item needed, then click on “Payment”. Ensure all payment information is correct, then confirm the payment.
• Check the payment, download and print the electronic invoice. Select the payment item for which an invoice is needed, click the “Query” button, and the system will issue an electronic invoice.
