PART.1  About SCU Founded in 1896 in Chengdu, China, Sichuan University consists of three campuses: Wangjiang, Huaxi, and Jiang'an, where the faculty staff and students gain easy access to complete teaching, learning, and academic research facilities in a beautiful environment. According to the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) data released in March 2024, Sichuan University's seven disciplines -- Chemistry, Material Science, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Engineering, Computer Science, and Biology & Biochemistry -- entered the ESI global top 0.1%, and its 21 disciplines entered the ESI global top 1%.
