My Journey in Fomula Student China

For over the past years, association students have enhanced their careers and ensured professional growth and success because of their allegiance with engineering workshops.

I joined the Formula student team in 2020. Formula SAE is a student design competition organized by China Society of Automotive Engineers (CSAE). The concept behind Formula SAE is that a fictional manufacturing company contacts a student design team to develop a small Formula-style race car. The prototype race car is to be evaluated for its potential as a production item. The target marketing group for the race car is the non-professional weekend autocross racer. Each student team designs, builds and tests a prototype based on a series of rules, whose purpose is both ensuring on-track safety and promoting clever problem solving for the students.

I’ve always wanted to be part of big engineering projects and workshops and this time I am a crew member of the engine team.  Being an FSAE member allows me to connect with other association professionals who are experienced in several engineering fields.

My Personal Experience In the Team

FSC has fostered my collaboration through networking and educational events, online communities, meeting several students from different universities through which I’ve gained more knowledge and personal skills.

FSC has diversified my level of the organization and inclusions in different teams.

FSC understands that diversity and inclusion allows us to make better decisions because we are exposed to different opinions, perceptions, values and experiences.  These differences are integrated throughout our team and enabled to create an experience that expands my horizons and opportunities for engagement, learning and leadership.

FSC has not only added a value to my career and passion but it has prepared me as a person to solve technical and mechanical problems. Through education, networking, and professional development, my experience with association management as a young engineering student has expanded widely and rapidly. FSAE has challenged me to learn more about different aspects of association management, and I’ve experienced huge growth that can only be attributed back to my mentors, my colleagues, my friends, and professional organizations.
