Li Taibai Sets is a collection of poems that pushes romanticism to the extreme. It contains Li Bai’s poems that have survived in history. This collection of poems is called Li Taibai because Li Bai’s character is called Taibai 太白. It covers a wide range of subjects and has outstanding representative works on many subjects.
Li Taibai Sets cover a wide range of themes of Chinese classical poetry. There are mainly ancient style poems, including Gu Feng 古风 and Yue Fu poems 乐府诗, but there are also modern style poems, such as regulated poems. It was first compiled by Li Yangbing 李阳冰 in the Tang Dynasty 唐朝, which consists of 10 volumes, but it has been lost now. There are now popular: one is the northern Song Dynasty 北宋 Song Minqiu 宋敏求 supplementary engraved edition “Li Taibai Anthology” 李太白文集 a total of 30 volumes.

Li Bai (701 — 762), also known as Taibai, was also called Qinglian Lay Scholarwas 青莲居士. He was the representative of the romantic poetry school in the Tang Dynasty and pushes the romanticism of Chinese poetry to its peak so he was known by later generations as “Immortals in Poetry 诗仙”. He and Du Fu 杜甫 were known as “Li Du 李杜”. Li Bai was forbearing, fond of drinking, making friends and swordsmanship.
Before he was 10 years old, he had already read a lot of books and poems. In his youth, he traveled to various places and increased his experience and knowledge. From 30 to 33 years old, Li Bai’s life was the first low point. In 742, Li Bai was appointed Han Lin 翰林, whose job was to write poems and articles for the amusement of the emperor and accompany the emperor. He died of a serious illness at the age of 62.
Li Bai’s poems have a deep influence on later generations and are praised and imitated by later generations. In terms of its pioneering significance and artistic achievements, Li Bai Ci 李百词 enjoys a very high status.
