Harbin Engineering University (HEU) was founded in 1953 and is one of China’s first batch of “211 Project” key universities. It has been accredited to establish a graduate school, designated as a national-level “Platform for Innovation in Disciplinary Strengths,” and selected for the “Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program.” HEU is also a member of China’s “Double First-Class” initiative.

04 Application Requirements
- Citizenship & Health:
- Non-Chinese citizens in good health.
- Age: 18–25 years old (minors under 18 must provide a guardian’s documentation in Harbin).
- Academic Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent with excellent grades.
- Language Proficiency:
- Chinese-Taught Programs: HSK Level 4 (Level 3 for Chinese Language majors).
- English-Taught Programs: TOEFL ≥79 or IELTS ≥5.5 (or equivalent certified by HEU).
05 Application Materials
- Online Application Form: Submit via HEU’s International Student Platform.
- Passport: Scanned copy of bio page and Chinese visa (if applicable).
- Academic Certificates: Notarized high school diploma and transcripts (in Chinese or English).
- Language Test Scores: HSK, TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent.
