The Silk Road, historically renowned as the most famous route linking the East and the West, represents a vibrant cultural corridor that brings together different civilizations. The past glory of the Silk Road serves as an essential foundation for a confluence of diverse cultures to meet and grow together in the new era. To foster cultural exchanges with countries along this route, Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SHCM) and Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), under the auspices of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, will jointly organize the 2025 Belt and Road Art Talent Training Program, aiming to enhance talent training and promote education towards a promising future.
- Theme
The Belt and Road Art Talent Training Program has successfully completedsix sessions since its initiation in 2018.This year, the program will focus on traditional Chinese music and theatre, providing international participants with various activities to enhance their understanding and interest in Chinese art and culturefrom multiple perspectives.Meanwhile, it alsoaims to encourage cultural exchange between international participants and Chinese students, allowing them to showcase their rich and colorful music culture. Through such exchanges, we can better understand and appreciate different cultures, embracing cultural diversity in an open manner and striving towards a more connected and harmonious world.
Both organizers have identified a specific focus for their activities. The SHCM will present activities that highlight representative traditional music instruments of China and other countries along the Silk Road, while the STA will offer an immersion into traditional theatrical aesthetics toexplore the connection between the heritage of Chinese theatres and the arts of other Silk Road countries.

- Activities
The program will include a) special lecture series and workshops by prestigious professors and experts focusing on the performing techniques and creative ideas of traditional Chinese music, as well as Chinese theatrical art; b) roundtable discussions and seminars where participants can exchange ideas and share whatthey’ve learned during the program; and c) field trips to major cultural venues such as Shangyin Opera House and He Luting Concert Hall, as well as suburban areas of Shanghai, for participants to experience local cultural life.

The Belt and Road Art Talent Training Program 2025 is open tointernationalstudentsand scholarsaged between 16 and 40. Participants must benon-Chinese citizensresiding outside China.
The Programwill enroll18qualifiedapplicants on a full scholarship that covers application, tuition, accommodation, activities, and comprehensive insurance fees.

- Optional: Audio-visual recording of your performance of one music piece (file size limited to 500MB)

- Once the application materials have been reviewed, Shanghai Conservatory of Music will send theAdmission Letter andInformation Form forForeign Students’ Short-term Visa(DQ) to eligible applicantsby post. This is a necessary step to apply for a Student Visa (X2 Visa), which is required for entering China. Therefore, please provide accurate address information and contact number to ensure successful delivery.
- Candidates who have been admitted are required to complete their registration at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music on the designated date, as stated in theirAdmission Letter. In case of any delay, please contact the SHCM International Education Division beforehand to seek approval, otherwise, the participant will be deemed to have withdrawn from the program automatically.

2025“‘一带一路’艺术文化人才培优”项目
招生简章
“丝绸之路”作为全球最为著名的沟通东西方文明的历史动脉,展现了一条最为多彩的文化长廊。丝绸之路曾经拥有的灿烂,应该成为各国文化交融继续生长的出发点和生命体。为了更好地与丝绸之路沿线国家扩大人文交流,加强人才培养,共同开创教育美好明天的宏伟蓝图,上海音乐学院和上海戏剧学院将依托上海市教委政策扶持,联合举办2025“‘一带一路’艺术文化人才培优”项目。
一、项目主题
自2018年开始,我院已举办了六届“‘一带一路’艺术文化人才培优”项目,积累了丰富的经验。本项目将结合自身优势,通过对中国传统民族音乐文化和中国传统戏剧文化的学习,使“一带一路”沿线国家的学生能多维度、多角度、多方面地了解中国艺术文化,在短期内对中国文化有感性的认知,进一步激发学习兴趣,同时通过项目学员的介绍,使更多中国学生了解丰富多彩的世界音乐,从而达到了解、共鸣、传播和发展的目标。
上海音乐学院将聚焦丝路沿线最具代表性的中国传统民族乐器及丝路沿线国家民族乐器,上海戏剧学院将集中探索戏曲艺术美学、戏曲艺术中的中国优良传承与丝路沿线国家在艺术上的交织关系。
二、项目时间
2025年6月12日至7月4日。
三、项目内容安排
项目包括:专题系列讲座、工作坊、圆桌发言、讨论会及文化体验活动。届时将由上海音乐学院和上海戏剧学院教授进行工作坊及专题讲座,集中展示中国民族音乐演奏技法、创作理念、中国戏曲艺术等,同时举办圆桌发言和讨论会展示学员学习成果。项目还将组织全体学员参观上音歌剧院、贺绿汀音乐厅等其他具有代表意义的上海音乐文化场所,以及体验上海周边地区的文化生活。
四、招生名额
本次活动共招收奖学金学员18名,奖学金学员将免报名费、学费、住宿费、活动费及来华人员综合保险费。
本次活动奖学金学员面向中国境外外国学生招生,年龄范围原则上为16周岁至40周岁。
奖学金名单将由活动组委会在收到报名资料后进行评选产生,届时将在我院国际教育学院网页上公布奖学金学员名单:https://www.shcmusic.edu.cn/1659/list.htm.

需要在申请的附件部分上传的材料:
(1)护照电子扫描件(需贴有照片的一面);
(2)一张证件照和一张生活照;
(3)在读证明或者毕业证书;
(4)个人简历(中文或英文);
(5)演奏资料(如有):1首作品,500MB以内。 -
我院审核确认申请者的报名材料后,将通过电子邮件的形式向申请人发放《录取通知书》和《短期来华留学生信息表》(DQ表),申请人务必须持学生签证(X2)入境。请在填写报名表时务必留下可供联系的电子邮箱地址和电话。

申请者要在录取通知书规定的报到日期来校报到。因故不能按期报到者,必须事先征得国际教育学院同意,否则将视为自动放弃。
