Introduction
The Atomic Energy Scholarship Program (AES-HEU) at Harbin Engineering University (HEU) offers full Chinese Government Scholarships for international students pursuing graduate programs in ​Nuclear Science and Technology and ​Power and Energy. Jointly supported by the China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA), Ministry of Education (MOE), China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), and China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), the program annually admits ​40 outstanding students globally for:

• ​3-year Master’s degrees
• ​4-year Doctoral degrees

Aimed at fostering talent in peaceful nuclear technology applications, the program strengthens international cooperation in nuclear energy.

Scholarship Coverage

Notes:

• Applicants cover ​international travel expenses and daily costs (food, utilities, internet).
• Scholarship duration is fixed upon admission (no extensions).

Eligibility Criteria

1. ​Non-Chinese citizens from emerging nuclear power countries, aged:
   • ​**≤35 years** for Master’s (bachelor’s degree required).
   • ​**≤40 years** for Doctoral (master’s degree required).
2. Commitment to advancing nuclear energy and societal development.
3. ​Academic Background:
   • Application for nuclear engineering-related graduate programs.
   • Strong foundation in mathematics/physics and research capabilities.
   • Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
4. ​Priority given to applicants with nuclear-related experience.
5. ​Female Master’s applicants may apply for the ​IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship.
