一、常州工学院简介Brief Introduction to CIT |
常州工学院是国家教育部批准成立的一所全日制公办普通本科高校，创建于1978年。学校所在地常州市位于江苏省南部，长三角城市群中心地带，北携长江，南衔太湖，历史悠久、经济繁荣、交通便利、社会和谐、人杰地灵，是唯一入选2016年“国家森林城市”称号的江苏城市，城市森林覆盖率达37%。学校现有辽河路校区、巫山路校区和会馆浜路校区，占地约1400亩，校园内教学、科研、生活、运动设施完善、功能齐全。学校现有教职工1100余人，普通全日制在校学生1.5万人，设有13个二级学院（直属教学部），开设50个本科专业，覆盖工、理、管、经、文、教、艺等多个学科门类。
Founded in 1978, Changzhou Institute of Technology (herein referred to as CIT) is a regular full-time undergraduate institution of higher learning approved by Ministry of Education in China. It is located in the ancient town Changzhou, which is in the south of Jiangsu Province, occupying the middle area of Yangtze River Delta. It also lies in the middle way between Shanghai and Nanjing, bordering Suzhou and Wuxi, with Yangtze River in the north and Lake Tai in the south. It is the only city of Jiangsu which won the title of “National Forest City” in 2016 with its forest coverage rate attaining 37%. Changzhou is a harmonious society which boasts developed economy, convenient transportation, and many great talents in the long history. CIT has three campuses, namely, Liao He Road Campus, Wu Shan Road Campus, and Hui Guan Bang Road Campus with a total area of about 93 hectares, with well-equipped teaching, scientific research, living, and sports facilities. There are more than 1,100 staff members and around 15,000 full-time students. It has 13 schools (or teaching sections), offering 50 undergraduate programs in such disciplines as engineering, science, management, economics, liberal arts, education and fine arts, etc.
学校大力推进国际化发展，积极开展对外交流与合作，与美国、加拿大、澳大利亚、英国、丹麦、韩国等境外40多所高校建立了长期友好的合作关系，在学术交流、科研合作、学分互认、合作办学等领域开展教育合作。学校设有“对外汉语教学中心”，拥有一流的对外汉语教学师资。学校自1994年起开始招收外国留学生，已培养了来自英国、美国、日本、韩国等45个国家的外国留学生，是“常州市外国人中华文化培训基地”和“常州市外国人汉语言文化学习中心”，2016年学校被江苏省教育厅认定为“留学江苏”目标学校。
CIT takes an active part in international exchange and cooperation as well as promoting internationalization. It has established long-term and friendly relationships with more than 40 overseas universities in America, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Korea, etc, undertaking cooperation in various fields such as academic exchange, scientific research, credit recognition, cooperatively-run programs, etc. CIT boasts “Learning Center of Chinese Language” with advanced teaching staff. CIT started enrolling foreign students in 1994 and has cultivated foreign students from 45 countries in the United Kingdom, America, Japan, Korea, etc. It is “Changzhou Chinese Culture Training Center for Foreigners” and “Changzhou Learning Center of Chinese Language & Culture for Foreigners”. In 2016, CIT was awarded “Study in Jiangsu” target school by Provincial Education Department.

Changzhou Institute of Technology of International Cooperation is responsible for the recruitment and cultivation of foreign students. It owns a professional team of teaching, management and service staff, who provide all kinds of assistance in airport picking-up, visa application, accommodation, academic guidance, sports and recreational activities, language and culture practice, etc. They aim at the success of every foreign student.

学制4年。学生修完所有课程并通过考试后，可获得本科毕业证书；符合学位授予条件的，可获得学士学位证书。2017年学校单独组班招收留学生的专业如下：
It’s a four-year program. Students will be conferred graduation certificate upon completing all the courses and passing exams. 说明Note:
（1）学校采取双学期制：第1学期为9月至次年1月，第2学期为2月至7月。
CIT takes a two-semester system: The first semester is from September to January the following year and the second semester is from February to July.
（2）英语授课专业：英文授课。其中第1学期强化汉语学习，第2学期开始进入专业学习。
Majors taught in English: Courses will be taught in English. In the first semester, intensive Chinese language training will be conducted. In the second semester, professional courses will be taught.
（3）汉语授课专业：第一学年强化汉语学习，通过HSK4后，第3学期开始进入专业学习（单独组班），可选择的专业如上表。希望学习其他专业的学生，需通过HSK5，插班进入相关专业班级，与中国学生一起学习，可选择的专业列表如下。
Majors taught in Chinese: In the first academic year, intensive Chinese language training will be conducted. After passing HSK4, students can start major study (separate class) from the third semester choosing majors from the above table. Students wishing to study other majors will need to pass HSK5 and attend classes of relevant majors with Chinese students. The majors are listed in the following table.
（4）入学时具有较好汉语基础（通过HSK4或以上）的学生可申请直接进入相关专业中文授课班级，与中国学生一起学习。学校绝大多数本科专业向留学生开放，具体专业列表如下：
Students with a good Chinese language level (passing HSK4 or above) can directly apply for classes taught in Chinese in relevant majors and study with Chinese students. Most majors in CIT are available to foreign students. The detailed information is listed as follows:

2.非学历生项目Non-degree Programs
（1）汉语言学习长期项目Long-term Program for Chinese Language Study
培养学生的汉语听、说、读、写能力，课程学习时间一般为1学期至2年。根据学生的中文水平分为不同的班级，每班人数一般为20~25人。主要课程包括：综合汉语、汉语口语、汉语听力、HSK考试强化训练、中国文化、商务汉语/科技汉语等。参加所有课程并通过考试的学生可以在完成课程后获得学习证书。
The program aims at training students’ Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing competence with the course learning period being one or two semesters. Students will be divided into different classes according to their Chinese levels with the class size being 20-25 students per class. Courses mainly include Comprehensive Chinese, Spoken Chinese, Chinese Listening, HSK Exam Intensive Training, Chinese Culture, Business Chinese, Chinese of Science and Technology, etc. Students attending all the courses and passing all the exams will get Study Certificate upon successful completion of all the courses.
（2）汉语言学习短期项目Short-term Program for Chinese Language Study
该项目是为想了解中国文化和学习汉语的学生设计的短期学习项目，一般在寒假或暑假进行，课程学习时间一般为1~4周。课程设置中，上午一般为汉语口语和汉语听力课程，下午是选修课或走访参观。选修课程包括中国文化、武术、中国民乐、中国画、中国书法等；走访参观的地点包括常州市及周边城市的工厂、博物馆、风景名胜区和历史遗迹等。
The program is designed for foreign students who want to learn about Chinese culture and study Chinese language with the period being 1-4 weeks, normally in winter or summer vacation. Spoken Chinese and Chinese Listening are offered in the morning and elective courses or visiting are arranged in the afternoon. Elective courses mainly include Chinese Culture, Kongfu, Chinese Folk Music, Chinese Painting, Chinese Calligraphy etc. Visiting places mainly include factories, museums, scenic spots, historic sites etc. in or around Changzhou city.

1.“茉莉花”奖学金“Jasmine” Scholarship
江苏省人民政府设有“茉莉花留学江苏省政府奖学金”，通过在江苏招收外国留学生的高校推选并发放，主要用于资助从境外申请入学的外籍优秀学生到江苏高等学校接受学历教育。
Jiangsu Provincial Government has set up” Jiangsu Jasmine Government Scholarship” to give financial assistance to excellent students from other countries who apply for diploma education in institutions of higher learning in Jiangsu Province. The scholarship will be awarded to foreign students recommended by their recruiting institutions.

2.常州工学院留学生校长奖学金President Scholarship for Foreign Students in CIT
我校设有“常州工学院留学生校长奖学金”，奖励对象为申请到我校就读本科专业的优秀留学生，主要由与我校有合作关系的机构向学校推荐。
CIT has set up President Scholarship for Foreign Students in CIT to award excellent students who apply for undergraduate program in CIT. They are mainly recommended by partner organizations of CIT.

3.常州工学院优秀留学生奖学金Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students in CIT
为激励在校留学生认真学习，刻苦钻研，立志成为优秀人才，我校特设立“常州工学院优秀留学生奖学金”，奖励对象为在我校学习一年以上的学历留学生。奖学金评定的主要依据为：基本素质、学习成绩和创新能力等，分为一、二、三等奖，奖金额分别为6000元、3000元和1000元，获奖比例分别为5%、10%和20%。
CIT has set up Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students to award foreign undergraduate degree students who have studied in CIT for more than one year so as to encourage them to study hard, do more research, and pursue excellence. The evaluation of scholarship mainly consists of basic qualities, academic records, and creative competence of students. The scholarship is divided into three levels: 5% of students will get the first-class prize of 6000RMB; 10% of students will get the second-class prize of 3000RMB; 20% of students will get the third-class prize of 1000RMB.

CIT has set up Scholarship for Comprehensive Qualities Points of Foreign Students in CIT to award foreign undergraduate degree students who have studied in CIT for more than one year so as to encourage them to take part in different sorts of scientific, sports, art or social activities and full play their talent to promote culture exchange. No more than 30% of applicants will get the scholarship of 500RMB.

5.常州工学院留学生HSK奖学金HSK Scholarship for Foreign Students in CIT
为鼓励在校留学生认真学习汉语，为后续专业学习打下良好的基础，我校特设立“常州工学院留学生HSK奖学金”。奖励对象为在我校完成第一年汉语学习，在中国汉语水平考试（HSK）中取得优异成绩的学历留学生，奖金额分别为2000元（通过HSK5及以上）和1000元（通过HSK4）。
CIT has set up HSK Scholarship for Foreign Students in CIT so as to encourage them to study Chinese hard which lays a solid foundation for the upcoming professional study. Undergraduate degree students who complete the first year Chinese language study and achieve excellent marks in HSK will get the scholarship of 2000RMB (pass HSK5 or above) and the scholarship of 1000RMB (pass HSK4).

1.申请条件Application Requirements
（1）非中国籍公民，持有外国有效护照；
Non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passport;
（2）身体健康，品行端正，遵守中国法律、法规和学校的规章制度；
Good health condition and virtuous morality. Comply with Chinese Laws, regulations and rules of CIT;
（3）高中毕业以上学历，成绩良好；
Graduated from senior middle school or above with good academic scores;
（4）本科学历生项目申请者年龄一般在25周岁以下。
Applicants for undergraduate degree program normally should be under 25 years old.

申请者可于2017年6月30日前，选择以下三种方式之一进行申请。
Applicants have the following three choices to apply before June 30th, 2017.

Visit the website http://admission.czu.cn/ and apply online.
（2）将申请材料扫描件发送到[email protected]
Email the scanned copies of application materials to [email protected].

4.申请流程Application Process
第一步：注册用户（在线申请者）；
Step 1: Registration (online applicants)
第二步：网上填写并提交申请表（在线申请者）；或登录学校网站下载《常州工学院外国留学生入学申请表》，用中文或英文按要求填写；
Step 2: Fill in and submit application forms online (online applicants); or visit CIT’s website to download “Admission Application Form for Foreign Students, Changzhou Institute of Technology” and fill in the form in Chinese or English according to the requirements.
第三步：提交以下申请材料
Step 3: Submit the following application materials
（1）白底近期免冠证件照
Recently taken bareheaded photo with white background
（2）护照复印件（护照个人信息页）
Copy of passport (pages with personal information)
（3）最高学历证明及成绩单（如果是除中文或英文以外的其他语言文本，还需提交中文或英文翻译件，并进行公证）
Certificate of highest diploma and transcript (submit translated versions in Chinese or English and get them notarized if the diploma and transcript are written in other languages)
（4）申请人如果是在校学生或在职工作，需提交本人就读学校或工作单位出具的在读证明或在职证明（如果是除中文或英文以外的其他语言文本，还需提交中文或英文翻译件，并进行公证）
If applicants are students or people in service, they should submit certificates provided by their school or workplace (submit translated versions in Chinese or English and get them notarized if certificates are written in other languages)
（5）汉语水平证书或进修证明（如有）

（6）英语水平考试成绩（非英语国家申请英语授课专业者）
English level test score (applicants from non-English-speaking countries who apply for majors taught in English)
第四步：国际交流学院审核申请材料，在3个工作日内通过邮件向符合条件申请者发送录取通知书；
Step 4: School of International Cooperation will review the application materials and email letter of admission to qualified applicants within three working days.
第五步：被录取者核对录取通知书信息，并在截止日期前向我校账户汇入600元（人民币）报名费；
Step 5: Successful applicants check the information on the letter of admission and remit 600 RMB application fee to CIT’s bank account before the deadline.
第六步：被录取者将汇款回执扫描件发送到[email protected]；
Step 6: Successful applicants scan the remittance receipt and email to [email protected].
第七步：我校在确认收到报名费后，将使用EMS或DHL将录取通知书、签证申请表（JW202）和报到须知等原件根据申请者提供的通讯地址寄出，请注意查收；
Step 7: CIT will mail the original letter of admission, visa application form（JW202）and registration notice etc. to the address provided by applicants via EMS or DHL. Please check and find the materials enclosed.
第八步：被录取者凭录取通知书原件及“JW202”表至所在国的中国使（领）馆申请来华学习签证（X1签证）；
Step 8: Successful applicants go to the Chinese Embassy in their countries and apply for visa for study in China (X1 visa) with the original letter of admission and “JW202” form.
第九步：被录取者准备入境，并将到校的相关信息告知学校。
Step 9: Successful applicants prepare to enter China and inform CIT of their arrival information.
