Xuzhou Medical University (XZMU) began to recruit international students of Clinical Medicine program(English-medium) since 2005, and now has over 400 international undergraduate and postgraduate students from about 40 countries worldwide.

Ⅲ. Admission Qualifications
1. Applicants should be 18-25 years old with good physical and mental health. Applicants under 18-year-old and above 16-year-old should submit their parents’ confirmation letter and authorization letter of legal guardians in China. See the attachment at the end.
2. Applicants must have senior high school diploma or above, all grades should meet admission standards. Subjects including mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English are the major ones to be evaluated.
3. English proficiency: Applicants from English-speaking countries are exempt from submitting the English proficiency certificates.Applicants from non-English-speaking countries must reach a score above 80 in TOEFL(15or above for each item) or 6.0 in IELTS (5.5 or above for each item); or provide other comparable certificatesproving English proficiency.
4. Applicants must abide by the laws of China and the regulations of XZMU (Xuzhou Medical University).
5. To the applicant in any of these situations:
1) Who was born with a foreign nationality, and one or both of his/her parents are living abroad with Chinese nationalities;
2) Who abandoned his/her original Chinese nationality and then joined a foreign nationality after emigrating from any region of China, such as Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan, etc.
According to the Government Document No.12 (2020) by Ministry of Education of China, the applicant should: 1) hold the valid foreign passport or nationality credentials for at least four years, and 2) in the most recent four years (up to April, 30th of the admission year), a record of living abroad for at least two years (nine months and above can be counted as one year, which is subject to the passport entry and exit page stamps). He/she should provide related documents as follows (including documents mentioned in part Ⅴ “Application documents uploaded to system”): Naturalization certification; Cancellation of the original nationality; passport entry and exit stamp pages of the last four years; Study records abroad in the most recent four years.
Ⅳ. Application and Registration Time

Application time: August 1, 2024 to August 31, 2024(Note: please be noted that any possible changes of the application deadline due to actual situation will be updated via school website, application system news list, or system message to applicants.)
Registration time: Early October of current admission year. (Note: please register on time according to the time specified in the admission notice.)
Ⅴ. Application Procedures
1.Applicants should use the international student online service system on the website of School of International Education for application: https://xzhmu.17gz.org/.
Application documents uploaded to system (each E version document shall be within 1.5mb size):
(1) 2-inch color bareheaded electronic photo, white background, no less than 295*413 pixel size, 100-200KB in JPG format. Please make sure to upload the correct photo, which will be used later for government system check.
(2) Scanned copy of valid passport’s information page(valid for 18 months), current visa/residence permit page (valid for 90 days,students currently in China must provide);
(3) Scanned copy of Highest Academic Degree Certificate,Expected Graduation Certificate for freshgraduates. (After being pre-admitted, applicants are required to submit final Graduation Certificate to be eligible for official admission,Certificate in languages other than Chinese or English shall be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.).
(4) Scanned copies of transcript of all courses during the highest academic degree education (Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English shall be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.)
(5) Scanned copy of Non-criminal Record(Valid for 6 months)
(6) Scanned copy of Foreigner’s Physical Examination Form completed in Chinese or English;(Valid for 6 months)
(7) E copy of handwriting signature.
(8) Certificate of Language proficiency;
(9) English self-introduction video (3-5 minutes, no more than 50M);
(10) Other supportive materials if have, such as excellent performance certificates, etc.
(11) Fill in all the basic personal information in school system. Make sure to provide correct current email and home address, and at least one social media contact (of QQ/WeChat/Ding Talk) when filling in application in system.
The University will request for supplementary materials when necessary.
Application materials mentioned above will not be returned to applicants whether theyareadmitted or not
2.School of International Education of Xuzhou Medical University will select the outstanding applicants according to application materials and admission scheme. Usually applicants will get E–offer or reply in 7-10 workdays after submitting application materials in the system. The E-offer (pre-admission letter) will be sent to the applicant who passed pre-check through the system. After that, applicants should pay CNY 4400(non-refundable for personal reasons) for locking the seat and upload the scanning copy of payment receipt to the application system within 2 weeks after he/she received pre-admission letter. The admission deposit will be used as the registration fee and the insurance fee during the student’s study in China after registration. Failure to pay on time will be regarded as automatic waiver of enrollment qualification.
3.After confirming the admission deposit, school will apply JW202 form based on current government policies and issue formal admission E offer to applicants via system.
Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) are fully electronic from 2023 onwards, and will besent to the email address that the applicant has filled in on the application system. Please download it fromyour computer in time, as there are a total of 10 chances to download it.
4.After receiving the Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202), applicants shall apply for Study Visa(X1) in China to the Chinese Embassy (Consulate General) and other visa agencies.(The applicants shall refer to related official websites’ of government for details.)
5.If the admitted student is unable to register on time, students should ask the college for leave at least one week in advance. Failure to register over one weeks without school permission would be regarded as automatic withdrawal, and the admission deposit would not be refunded. For more information about new student registration, please visit the College website – Student Affairs – Welcome Registration (English), or communicate with the relevant teachers by joining the new student QQ, wechat, Ding Talk group after admission.
Ⅵ. Fees (CNY) of studying in Xuzhou Medical University
Registration fee: 400 (only in the first year)
Tuition fee: 28, 000/academic year
Hostel fee: 4,800/person/academic year (double room)
Others: university will guide all students to go through all procedures such as physical examination, residence permit and insurance. Students have to pay required fees to the acceptors during all procedures. After student registration，all fees are not refundable and their use can’t be changed.
