一、学校简介 About us
Southwest Petroleum University西南石油大学是新中国创建的第二所石油本科院校，是一所中央与地方共建、以四川省人民政府管理为主的高等学校。2013年，学校入选“国家中西部高校基础能力建设工程”，成为入选该工程的100所高校之一。石油与天然气工程学科连续两轮入选国家一流学科，全国学科评估连续获评A+（省属高校唯一）。我校石油与天然气工程学科形成“油气并举、气为特色”并在全国乃至全球学科覆盖最广、研究方向最完整的学科格局，石油与天然气工程及其配套学科水平较高，工程学、化学、材料学、地球科学进入ESI全球前1%。
Founded in 1958, Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU) is co-built by central and local governments and is administered mainly by Sichuan Provincial Government. It is the second petroleum university since the establishment of P.R. China. In 2013, SWPU (Southwest Petroleum University) was selected into the “National Central and Western Universities Basic Capacity Construction Project” and became one of the 100 universities in the project. Petroleum and natural gas engineering has been selected as the national first-class discipline for two consecutive rounds, and has been rated as A+ discipline in the national discipline assessment (the only provincial university). Now it has formed the discipline development pattern of “co-developing oil and gas, with gas being featured”, making the broadest discipline coverage and the most complete research directions across China and even around the world. Engineering, chemistry, materials science and geo–science are among the top 1% of ESI in the world.
经过60多年的建设，学校现已发展成为一所以工为主、多学科协调发展、石油天然气优势突出和特色鲜明的大学，石油主干学科专业在全国处于领先水平。
Over 60 years of construction, SWPU (Southwest Petroleum University) has grown into a multi-disciplinary university focusing on engineering, with advantage in oil and gas discipline that ranks the top in China.
学校现有15个教学学院（部）、1个工程训练中心。学科专业涵盖理学、工学、管理学、经济学、文学、法学、教育学、艺术学8个学科门类。本科具有招生资格专业79个，硕士研究生招生专业56个，博士研究生招生专业8个。
SWPU (Southwest Petroleum University) is composed of 15 schools and 1 engineering training center, covering 8 discipline fields: science, engineering, management, economics, literature, law, education and art. 79 undergraduate majors,56 master majors and 8 doctoral majors have admission qualifications.
学校现有全日制在校学生40801人，其中普通本科生31242人，硕士研究生8016人，博士研究生1067人，外国留学生522人。现有教职工2753人，有正高级专业技术职务人员382人，副高级专业技术职务人员721人。其中，中国工程院院士1人，德国工程院院士1人。
Currently, there are 40,801 full-time students, including 31,242 undergraduates, 8,016 master students, 1,067 doctoral students and 522 international students. There are 2,753 faculty and staff members, including 1 academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 academicians of German Academy of Engineering, 382 full-time professors, 721 associate professors.
学校重视国际交流与合作，已与美、俄、英、德、日、法、加等10多个国家和地区的高等院校和相关学术研究机构建立了密切的交流与合作关系。
SWPU has always attached great importance to international exchange and cooperation. Various international joint projects and programs have been conducted between SWPU (Southwest Petroleum University) and educational institutions from different countries, such as America, Russia, England, Germany, Japan, France, Canada, etc.

七、申请及录取流程Application and Admission Procedure
第一步：网上申请
申请者登录西南石油大学国际学生在线服务系统，注册账号、在线填报、提交申请。
Step 1 Online Application
Applicants can log in the Online Service System for International Students of Southwest Petroleum University, and register an account and fill in online forms and submit the applications. https://swpu.17gz.org/
第二步：审核材料 确认录取
收到学生申请后，西南石油大学将审核申请者材料，确认录取名单，将办理《录取通知书》和《外国留学人员来华确认表》（JW202表）。
Step 2 Documents reviewing and admission confirmation
After reviewing of application materials in accordance with the provisions of the university, successful applicants will be issued Admission Notice and Confirmation Form for Study in China (the JW202 Form).
第三步：申请来华学习签证
被录取学生凭学校出具的电子版《录取通知书》到中国驻外签证机关申请学习类签证。
Step 3 Application for Study Visa to China
Successful applicants can apply for a study visa at the Chinese visa agencies stationed abroad with an electronic version of the Admission Notice issued by the university.
八、入学报到Registration
入学报到注册方式及报到时间以学校发放的录取通知书为准。
The specific time and approach of registration shall be based on the Admission Notice.
