About SUST

Shaanxi University of Science and Technology (SUST) is a key public multidisciplinary university in China. The university was founded in 1958 and has been devoting to excellence in teaching, learning, research on science, engineering and innovation with a strong partnership with industry. SUST cultivates students in all aspects to meet the requirements of today’s well-developed economic society based on its rigorous scientific research and strong engineering practice.

SUST consists of 16 colleges providing 63 bachelor’s degree programmes, 107 master’s degree programmes, and 24 doctoral degree programmes with an enrollment of over 23,000 undergraduates and 5000 graduates.

We encourage people from all over the world to visit Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province. Xi’an is one of the world’s renowned historical capitals with many places of interest such as Xi’an City Wall – one of the oldest, largest and best preserved Chinese city walls; the Terracotta Warriors – “The Eighth Wonder of the World” and the Qinling Mountains – the major range dividing northern and southern China. Located in Xi’an City central China, SUST campus is a 10 minute drive from the subway station and CRH (China Railway High-speed) and 30 minutes from Xi’an Xianyang International Airport, providing the most flexible transportation for local, national and international journeys.

Shaanxi University of Science and Technology Application Requirements

1. 1.Non-Chinese citizens. Be in good health with outstanding learning performance and morality, for those who wereChinesecitizens and then became foreign nationals, our University implements Notice of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China on Regulating the Work of Accepting International Students in Chinese Colleges and Universities. 2. For Non-Degree long-term Chinese language Program,applicants should have at least senior-high diploma, and age below 25.

3. For Master Program, applicants should have bachelor degree or above, age below 30.

4. For Doctoral Program, applicants should have master degree or above, age below 35.

5. For programs taught in English, the applicants must have English
proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or above, or TOEFL 80 or above.

6. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree from Chinese universities should provide certificate of HSK4 (≥200) or above.

Duration of short-term Chinese language programme:6-12 months

Shaanxi University of Science and Technology Application Procedures

1.Fill in personal information and upload attachments required by specific programme on the website https://sust.at0086.cn/student
2.Copy of original passport photopage and previous Chinese Visa pages.
3.Notarized highest diploma and thenotarized Chinese/Englishtranslation
(Prospective diploma recipients must submit official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date).

4.Original academic transcripts and the notarized Chinese/English translation.
5.Non-criminal Record and the notarized Chinese translation.
6.Foreigner Physical Examination Form (in English and valid within 6 months).
7.The copy of valid HSK or IELTS/TOEFL Certificate.
8.Resume in Chinese or English.
9.A Study Plan in Chinese or English.
10.Two recommendation letters in Chinese or English by associate professors or scholars with the same titles and above for Master and Doctoral program.
11.Related research Proposals,papers,portfolios and awards.

2.有效普通护照首页及之前所获中国护照页:
3.最高学历毕业证书原件扫描件，如申请人为在校学生，须另外提交本人就读学校出具的在学证明:

5.部分国家需提供无犯罪证明及经公证后的中文翻译件;
6.《外国人体格检查表》原件扫描件(英文，检查结果有效期为6个月);
7.有效汉语水平考试(HSK)成绩单原件扫描件或英语水平考试(TOEFL或IELTS)成绩单原件扫描件;

8.个人简历(中文或英文);
9.来华学习和研究计划;
10.申请硕士和博士项目需提供两封副教授或以上职称人员推荐信(中文或英文):
11.相关学术论文、作品集及所获奖励。

Shaanxi University of Science and Technology Tuition & Fees
1.Application
A fee of RMB 400 is applied to each admitted applicant. Students pay the fee when registering on site at the university.
2.Tuition (per year)

Note: 1. For students who obtain President’s Scholarship, the tuition is  exempted.

学费：硕士研究生18,000元/人/学年(人文社科专业)
硕士研究生 20,000元/人/学年(人文社科专业)
博士研究生 28,000元/人/学年(科学工程专业)
博士研究生 30,000元/人/学年(科学工程专业)
医疗保险费：800元/人/年
住宿费(校内)：3000-6000元/人/年
1. 以上费用均以人民币计算。
2.因校内住宿资源有限，住宿申请采取先到先得的方式进行。未能成功预定校内住宿的学生，需自行联系校外住宿。

President’s Scholarship

1. Students could obtain President’s Scholarship each year (maximum is 3 years).

   The Belt and Road International Students’ Scholarship

Note: 1.The Belt and Road International Students’ Scholarship could only be obtained once.

         2. Only Chinese language programme students from BRI countries obtain the Belt and Road International Students’ Scholarship.The scholarship is obtained in the way of exemption of tuition fee.

Sanqin International Students Scholarship

Note: Sanqin International Students Scholarship of Shaanxi Province is for degree students without any other Chinese government scholarships.

The student could only obtain one scholarship among the three above within same academic year.

注意:
1.学生每年可获得校长奖学金(最多3年)。
2.“一带一路”留学生奖学金只能申请一次。
3.“一带一路”留学生奖学金仅限来自“一带一路”国家的汉语专业学生获得。奖学金以免学费的方式获得。
4. 陕西省三秦留学生奖学金:提供给没有其他中国政府奖学金的学位生。同一学年只能获得上述三项奖学金中的其中一项。
