National Academy of Chinese Opera
中国戏曲学院是中国唯一一所独立建制的培养戏曲艺术高级专门人才的大学，是中国戏曲教育的最高学府，被誉为“中国高端戏曲人才培养的摇篮”。学院设有京昆系、表演系、导演系、音乐系、戏曲文学系、舞台美术系、艺术管理与文化交流系，现面向全球非中国籍人士招收2023/2024学年硕士研究生。
一、培养目标
旨在培养道德良好、遵纪守法、具有较强的跨文化交际能力、共情能力以及艺术创造力、表现力，热爱中国优秀传统文化，掌握中国传统艺术知识，了解国际艺术发展最新动态，具有跨学科知识迁移与运用能力，具有高度的人类共同命运责任感的艺术家、学者和教育人士。
二、招生方式、类型、学制及专业
招生方式为申请+考试制。招生类型为全日制学术型硕士研究生、艺术硕士专业学位研究生，学制均为三年。招生专业名称及导师名单见附件1和2。
三、 申请条件
申请人须符合以下条件:
（一）非中国籍，且持有有效外国签发的个人护照；
（二）品德良好，遵纪守法；
（三）身体健康，且符合中国规定的高校研究生入学要求；
（四）具有以下学历条件之一：
（1）高职高专毕业学历（毕业日期为2021年9月1日之前）；
（2）本科学历或相当学历；应届本科生申请人需于2023年 9 月 1 日前取得上述类型的学历证书；
（3）学士学位或相当学位；
（4）已获硕士或博士学位；
（五）具有中国国家中文水平考试(HSK)5级（含5级）水平或更高水平。

五、申请文件及资料
以下材料均提交原件的PDF格式彩色扫描件或JPG格式照片。
（一）有效护照个人信息页；
（二）2寸证件照（3.5*5.3 cm, 413*519像素）；
（三）最高学历及学位证书（应届本科毕业生提交预毕业证明）；
（四）最高学历对应的成绩单；
（五）入学申请表及在华担保人信息表（见附件2）；
（六）个人简历（中文或英文，包含教育、工作、获奖经历）；
（七）学习计划（不少于中文800字或英文1000词）；
（八）HSK5级（含）证书（无证书申请人须参加我校中文入学水平测试）；
（九）2封由相关学术或行业专家出具的推荐信（中文或英文）；
（十）居住地警局出具的无犯罪记录证明（我校本科生申请人可不提供）；
（十一）半年内健康体检报告;
（十二）所报专业要求的论文或艺术作品（见附件1和2）。
上述所有材料请自行编号，并在申请截止日前通过电子邮件发送至[email protected]，较大视频文件可通过 https://wetransfer.com/发送至上述邮箱。申请人须保证所提交材料完整、真实且信息填写准确，如因材料不全、虚假或信息填写有误导致无法进入复试或复试后无法录取，相关后果由申请人个人承担。我校自2023年4月1日起对申请人材料进行审核，4月15日向申请人发送审核结果，审核通过的申请人将同时收到考试通知。
六、考试
我校将于2023年4月16日至4月30日组织网络考试。收到考试通知的申请人按要求的时间、方式参加网络考试。考试内容包括专业知识问答、专业技能展示，考试语言为中文。
七、录取
我校将于2023年5月1日至6月20日根据申请人的申请材料、考试评定意见确定录取名单后，通过电子邮件告知被录取的申请人，于2023年7月向其寄送纸质版录取通知书，并于2023年7-8月按中国国家移民管理局政策协助其申请来华学习签证（X1）。
八、报到
被录取的申请人须按录取通知书日期及要求来校报到入学后正式成为新生。新生入学后按要求参加体检。对部分被录取的申请人因个人原因未能获得X1签证而无法按时入境入学的情况，我校将按外国留学生研究生学籍管理规定处理。

九、费用（人民币）
入学考试费800元。学费为38000元/学年。保险费800元起/年（详见http://en.lxbx.net/）。留学生住宿地点为学院内学生公寓，住宿费因房间类型不等而不同，或经学院书面批准后可选择市内校外居住。
十、奖学金
我校为留学生提供北京市外国留学生奖学金，用于资助入学考试成绩优秀的新生以及学期成绩优秀的在读生。资助标准为全奖30000元/学年，半奖15000元/学年。

National Academy of Chinese Opera Theatre Arts (NACTA) is an institution of higher education dedicated to cultivating superb artistic talents. We offer a rich array of postgraduate programs, both M.A.and M.F.A., to non-Chinese students who are interested in Chinese opera and theatre performing, music, directing, theatrical writing, stage arts, new media arts, cross-cultural communication and cultural industry management. Now 2023/2024 programs are open for application.
I. National Academy of Chinese Opera The Overall Goal of Our Programs
The overall goal of our programs is to develop superb artists, scholars and educators who are highly empathetic and creative and competitive in their professional fields, totally capable of working at a cross-cultural workplace and in a rapid changing world, and have a deep understanding of both traditional and contemporary Chinese arts and culture, have the interdisciplinary vigor and international vision as well as a great sense of responsibility for the common future of mankind.
II. National Academy of Chinese Opera Program Information
We have full-time M.A.and M.F.A. programs （3 years）at NACTA. Candidates need to send their applications (with necessary documentations and materials) via email in the first step. And next, if we can tell from the applications that their owners are academically and artistically sound and well prepared, we will inform the applicants to attend the interviews and auditions online. Please find program brochures in appendix I and II.
III. National Academy of Chinese Opera Eligibility for Application
Applicants should:
(i) Be non-Chinese citizens in good health and have a valid passport (the nationality is in accordance with the country which issued the passport);
(ii) Be morally sound and have no crime background;
(iii) Already have a Bachelor’s degree or higher degrees, or a certificate of completion of advanced vocational education /community college education / junior college education which was given before September 1, 2021, or a certificate of completion of higher education(in the last case, if applicants are undergraduates, he/she should submit a confirmation letter written by host university/college concerning that the applicant will receive graduation certificate or bachelor’s degree by September 1, 2023);
(iv) Reach the level of Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Band 5 or higher levels.
IV. National Academy of Chinese Opera Application Date
From December 15, 2022 to March 31, 2023.
V. Application Documentations and Materials
(i) the page of personal information of your valid passport;
(ii) a portrait photograph (3.5*5.3 cm, 413p*519p);
(iii) a degree certificate or diploma of your highest educational level ( if applicants are undergraduates, he/she should submit a confirmation letter written by host university/college concerning that the applicant will receive graduation certificate or bachelor’s degree by September 1, 2023);
(iv) the transcript which matches the certificate or diploma in (iii);
(v) a filled-out NACTA Application to Postgraduate Programs;
(vi) CV (including education background, working experience, awards, etc.)
(vii) research or practice plan ( 800 Chinese characters or 1000 English words);
(viii) certificate of HSK 5 or higher level (if applicants don’t have a HSK 5 or higher ones, they need to attend an on-line NACTA Entrance Test of Chinese Language.);
(ix) recommendation letters from two professors or seasoned practitioners in your professional field;
(x) No crime background check letter from the local police;
(xi) report of medical checkup within 6 months;
(xii) please see other application materials required by the department which offers the program you want to get in in appendix I and II.

If there is a limit on the size of the email attachments uploaded on your side, please send your video via https://wetransfer.com. Applicants should be responsible for the wholeness and authenticity of the documentations and materials they send to us, and for the possible effects on their admission if the documentations and materials are fake or not complete. We will review all applications during April 1-15, 2023 and send a feedback email to applicants.
VI. National Academy of Chinese Opera Interviews and Auditions
Applicants who receive an email including the review feedback AND interview notification will attend interviews and auditions (both in Chinese language) online during April 16-30, 2023.
VII. National Academy of Chinese Opera Enrollment
Applicants’ performance in interviews and auditions and their academic or artistic background shown in the documentations and materials will be important factors in our admission decision. Only applicants who are really fit for the programs will receive an admission letter around June 20, 2023 and their enrollment guide packs and X1 visa application guide in late July or early August, 2023.
VIII. National Academy of Chinese Opera Registration
New students should get registered on campus in early September, 2023 and attend medical check-up in Beijing, China. It’s very important for new students to know that all enrollments are contingent upon approval of an appropriate visa as required by the National Immigration Administration of China. We help new students apply for a visa X1 or transfer their valid stay permit into study type, the National Immigration Administration, however, remains the final arbiter of all immigration-related cases. For students who are unable to come to Beijing by an appropriate visa, we will deal with his or her case according to enrollment management regulations which concern how to maintain student status at NACTA.
IX.National Academy of Chinese Opera Tuition, Insurance and Accommodation
Test Fee: 800 CNY/new student
Tuition: 38000 CNY/academic year
Insurance: at least 800 CNY/year (the expenses vary according to different insurance plans, please find plans at http://en.lxbx.net/)
International students may choose to live in student dormitory at NACTA (the cost varies due to different room types, from 900 CNY/year to 1200 CNY/month) , or other residence in Beijing upon a written approval from NACTA.
X.National Academy of Chinese Opera Scholarship
We offer International Student Scholarship funded by Beijing Municipal Government to new and current students who have impressive achievements in their interviews or study fields. Full scholarship is 30000 CNY/academic year, half type is 15000/academic year.
