I. Program Description
The Chinese Government Scholarship-High Level Postgraduate Program is a full-time, full scholarship program funded by the Chinese government for the enrollment of outstanding international students for postgraduate studies at Nanjing Forestry University (NJFU) commencing in Academic Year 2025-2026.

IV. Funding Policy
n Tuition Waiver
n Accommodation: Free dormitory for on-campus students. Accommodation subsidy for off-campus students: CNY 700 per month for Master students and CNY 1,000 per month for PhD students.
n Monthly Stipend: CNY 3,000 per month for Master students; CNY 3,500 per month for Doctoral students.
n Comprehensive medical insurance: CNY 800 per month.

n International travel expenses are borne by the students themselves.
V.Application Eligibility
n The applicant must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and must hold a valid ID certificate.
n The applicant for a Master’s program must be a bachelor’s degree holder of relating majors. The applicant for a PhD program must be a master’s degree holder of relating majors.
n The applicant must have excellent academic performance, and meets the requirements of the applied major.
n The applicant must be in good mental and physical health. The applicant must be no more than 35 when applying for a Master’s program. The applicant must be no more than 40 when applying for a PhD program.
n Language requirement
Chinese-taught Programs: A score of 200 or above in HSK 4 (with no sub-score less than 60)
English-taught Programs: A score of 6.0 or above in IELTS (with no sub-score less than 6), or a score of 80 or above in TOEFL;or provide proof of English-taught program during previous degree. Native English speakers do not need to submit the English Proficiency Certificate
n The applicant has submitted a complete set of materials.
n The applicant has not been granted scholarships from other Scholarship Committees for the 2025/2026 academic year.

l Prospective diploma recipients must submit official proof of student status issued by their current school. l Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations. |
Notarized Academic Transcripts(from the undergraduate program onwards) |
l Copies of academic records from first to last semester during the undergraduate, master (if any), and doctoral programs (if any) shall be provided. These transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attending university’s academic affairs office, graduate school, or management department. l Transcripts can be in Chinese or English, but must be attached with notarized English translations if they are in foreign languages other than English. |
A Study Plan/Proposal |
l Must be a minimum of 1000 characters or words for a Master’s program; and a minimum of 1200 characters or words for a PhD program in Chinese/English. l Shall be signed by the applicant’s Chinese provisional supervisor. |
Two Recommendation Letters |
l Applicant shall submit two recommendation letters in Chinese or English from two professors or associate professors. l These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future growth, etc.. |
Acceptance Letter from a NJFU Supervisor |
l The acceptance letter must be signed and approved by the master/doctoral supervisor of the discipline, otherwise it will be invalid. |
Copy of Valid Language Certificate |
l Applicant shall submit a clear scanned copy of the Language Certificate of HSK 4 or above, IELTS, TOEFL, or other English Proficiency Certificate. |
Non-criminal Record Report |
l Applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application. |
Photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form |
l Applicant must submit a photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form designed by the Chinese quarantine authority and completed in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant). l The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. l Incomplete records or records without a sealed photograph of the applicants, the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital are invalid. l The results of the physical examination are valid for only 6 months. |
Copy of Passport Information Page and Relevant Residence Documents |
l Applicant shall submit a clear scanned copy of the information page of passport (the expiration date of the passport shall not be on or before September 2025). l Applicant under the age of 18 shall submit the legal documents of his/her legal guardians in China. |

VII. Application Procedure
n Find a suitable degree program.
n Find a relevant supervisor to provide provisional acceptance letter.
n Register and apply in NJFU online application system: https://njfu.17gz.org/
n Pay the application fee: CNY 400 or USD 60. While transferring application fee to NJFU’s bank account, please indicate your name, application number and passport number on bank note’s remark area and upload the receipt to online application system. The application fee is NON-REFUNDABLE once remitted.
n Initial document review, Academic review by colleges;
n Qualified applicants are notified by NJFU.
n Qualified applicants log in the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System at http://www.campuschina.org (Type: B; School Code: 10298), fill in the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form online, and submit the required application documents and submit the Pre-admission Notice.
n NJFU submits the list of recommended candidates and application documents to the China Scholarship Council.
n The China Scholarship Council organizes relevant institutions and experts to examine and verify the qualification and academic performance of the recommended candidates and determined the candidates to be admitted.
n The China Scholarship Council notifies NJFU of the final list of candidates, and NJFU notifies the relevant applicants.
VIII. Application Deadline
The applicant must submit the application online with application material mentioned above before February 16, 2025. The recommendation list will be sent to the review committee of CSC Scholarship for approval.
IX. Reminder
n Upload supporting documents must be clear, authentic and valid. Applicants are recommended to use a professional device to scan the relevant documents. Applicants shall bear the consequences caused by unclear or unidentifiable uploaded materials.
