WHY MNNU?

Minnan Normal University (hereinafter referred to as MNNU) is one of the key universities in Fujian Province. It is also one of the universities approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China to recruit international students. This scholarship program is set up to encourage international students to study for master degreesin MNNU andtocultivate a group of high-level talents,i.e.international students with good grades and characters, with excellent academic and pedagogical qualities, with trilingual competence (i.e. Chinese, English and Minnan dialects) and two abilities (i.e. speaking and teaching two languages).

Academic Programs（Taught in English）

• Four-year bachelor degree program:History(Normal Education)

• Three-year master degree programs:Analytical Chemistry,Environmental Chemistry

• Two-year master degree program:Subject Teaching (History)

Admission Requirments

1)Applicants must beinternationalstudents who are able to register and study on campus. And in order to serve “the Belt and Road Initiative”, students from Southeast Asia are preferred on equal terms.Applicants must abide by the laws and regulations of Chinese government and observe the rules of MNNU.

2)Applicants for master degree program must haveabachelor degree oraequivalent degree.

3)For those whose native language is not English, please provide test reportsof English language test(IELTS score not less than 6.0. TOEFL score not less than 85 points.Other English proficiency test scorescomparabletothe IELTS and TOEFL scores).

Applicants who speak English as their native language orhavebeen taught in Englishduringpreviouslearningstagescan beexempt from IELTS or TOEFLtest requirement,butmust provideproof oftheir English proficiency.Applicants who haveaChinese language foundation will be given priority for admission.

4)Applicantsshould notbe therecipientsof any other types of Chinese Government Scholarship

Application Materials:

1. Log inhttp://mnnu.liuguanbao.com/Manage/Index/to register and fill in your application information and materials.

2. Scanned copy of graduation certificate, academic transcript and HSK certificate(if available).

3. Scanned copy of Foreigner’s Physical Examination Report.(If you are temporarily unable to enter China due to the pandemic, temporarily provide aHealth Guaranteewritten by yourself with your personal signature on it.)

4. Scanned copy ofavalid passport.

5. Scanned copy ofarecommendation letterwritten by at least an associate professor.

6. Scanned copies of documents which can prove an applicant’sall-roundabilities, such as certificates of awards.(Such documents can besubmittedwith the above materials at the same time. MNNU will give priority to applicants with these documents).

Notes: 1) No application documents mentioned above will be returned regardless of the application’s result.

1. Proof documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarizationdocuments.

   3) In order tocarry outteaching in antimely andorderly manner, online lessons will be arranged for the students who can’t come to China and register in the university on time due to COVID-19.

   Fees(in RMB for each academic year)

Scholarship

The scholarship is40000 RMB/Year for one student covering the tuition fee (22000 RMB) and dormitory fee.After covering the tuition and dormitory fees,the restof the moneywill be transferred to the student’s bank cardin monthly installments.
