丽水学院是浙江省丽水市的一所公办全日制高等院校，具有硕士学位授予权。学校创办于1907年，起源于处州初级师范学堂，2004年升格为丽水学院。学校通过了教育部的本科教学合格评估和审核评估，并被列为浙江省应用型建设试点示范学校。2021年，学校获得了硕士学位授予单位的资格，并获得教育、农业、护理硕士学位授权。

Lishui University is a distinguished public institution of higher education situated in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. With the authority to confer master’s degrees, the university boasts a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1907 as Chuzhou Junior Normal School. In 2004, it underwent an upgrade, becoming Lishui University. The university has successfully passed the evaluation and assessment for undergraduate teaching qualifications conducted by the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, it has been recognized as a pilot demonstration university for applied construction in Zhejiang Province. In 2021, Lishui University was granted the status of a master’s degree-granting institution, authorized to confer master’s degrees in the fields of education, agriculture, and nursing.

丽水学院有两个校区，分别位于莲都区和松阳县，校园占地面积1257.4亩，建筑面积46万平方米。学校拥有图书馆，馆藏纸质图书168万册，电子图书147万册，纸质期刊870种，电子资源数据库34个，其中包括5个外文数据库。学校设有12个教学机构，涵盖民族学院、教师教育学院、生态学院、数学与计算机学院、工学院、医学院、商学院（华侨学院）、中国青瓷学院、音乐学院、马克思主义学院、职业技术学院和继续教育学院。学校有13300多名全日制在校生和1100多名教职工，其中包括116名正高级专业技术职务人员。学校拥有6名国家级人才，包括中国科学院院士和“百千万人才工程”人选，以及6名省部级人才，包括省特级专家和省重点引才计划专家。学校还建有1个院士（专家）工作站和2个省级博士后工作站。

Lishui University encompasses two campuses located in Liandu District and Songyang County, covering a total area of 1,257.4 acres, with a building area spanning 460,000 square meters. The university prides itself on its remarkable library collection, which includes 1.68 million printed books, 1.47 million e-books, 870 printed journals, and 34 electronic resource databases, including 5 foreign language databases. The academic structure of Lishui University consists of 12 faculties, namely Ethnic, Teacher Education, Ecology, Mathematics and Computer Science, Engineering, Medicine, Business (Overseas Chinese), Chinese Celadon, Music, Marxist Faculty, Vocation and Technique, and Continuing Education. With a student body exceeding 13,300 full-time students, Lishui University fosters an environment of learning and growth. It is supported by a dedicated faculty and staff team of over 1,100 members, including 116 individuals occupying senior professional and technical positions. The university takes pride in hosting 6 national-level talents, including academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and individuals recognized under the esteemed Million Talents Project. Additionally, it is home to 6 talents at the provincial and ministerial levels, consisting of top-level experts and participants in the provincial key talent attraction plan. Furthermore, the university houses 1 academician (expert) workstation and 2 provincial-level postdoctoral workstations.

Lishui University is a comprehensive and applied institution known for its distinctive characteristics and its commitment to a balanced approach between humanities and sciences. It is at the forefront of rapid development in emerging disciplines. The university offers a wide range of 10 major disciplines, encompassing law, economics, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, and arts. Among these disciplines, there are 4 provincial first-class disciplines that excel in their respective fields, namely ecology, ethnology, mechanical engineering, and stomatology. Currently, the university offers 46 undergraduate majors, showcasing its diverse academic offerings, including 2 national first-class undergraduate majors, 11 provincial first-class undergraduate majors, 2 advantageous majors, and 7 distinctive majors. The university takes pride in its accredited nursing, elementary education, music, physical education, and preschool education programs, which have received recognition from the Ministry of Education. The university (Lishui University) is dedicated to meeting the local demands and practical needs, playing a pivotal role in the economic and social development of the region. Notably, it has established the China (Lishui) Liangshan College, which houses two provincial-level think tanks and has spearheaded the development of the first national guideline for ecological product value assessment standards. Additionally, the university has set up the Rural E-commerce College and the Industrial Technology Research Institute, contributing to Lishui City’s remarkable progress in high-quality development. In collaboration with the Lishui Municipal Education Bureau, the university has jointly established a teacher training center and constructed platforms for technical innovation services in the traditional Chinese medicine industry, as well as an experimental animal center, which offer comprehensive support for basic education and the training of grassroots medical and health professionals. Distinguished as the sole Ethnic College in East China, the university also serves as a training base for ethnic cadres and cultural industry creative bases, garnering recognition from the Ministry of Education and the provincial collaborative innovation center. Furthermore, the university has formed a partnership with the Longquan Municipal Government to establish the China Celadon College and collaborated with Thailand’s Eastern University to establish the world’s first China Celadon Academy. 学院注重开放合作，与美国、韩国、西班牙等国家和中国台湾地区高校开展合作交流。与瑞典耶夫勒大学学院合作举办护理学本科专业，成为地方新建本科院校中为数不多的获准开展中外合作办学的高校之一。开办国际学生教育，现有来自亚洲、非洲、大洋洲等30个国家的国际学生近120人。与浙江理工大学、杭州师范大学、浙江农林大学、宁波大学、浙江工业大学、温州医科大学、杭州电子科技大学七所高校建立对口帮扶关系，联合培养研究生290多人。

The university (Lishui University)places great importance on openness and cooperation, fostering collaborative relationships with various countries including the United States, South Korea, Spain, as well as universities in Taiwan, China. A notable collaboration is with Jönköping University College in Sweden, where the university jointly offers a bachelor’s degree program in nursing. This initiative positions the university as one of the few newly established local undergraduate institutions authorized to conduct Sino-foreign cooperative education. To enhance global engagement, the university has established international student education programs, attracting nearly 120 students from 30 countries across Asia, Africa, Oceania, and other regions. This diverse student body contributes to a multicultural learning environment. Additionally, the university has forged counterpart assistance relationships with seven esteemed universities, including Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Hangzhou Normal University, Zhejiang A&F University, Ningbo University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Wenzhou Medical University, and Hangzhou E-technology University. These partnerships involve collaborative efforts in joint training programs for over 290 postgraduate students, promoting academic and research excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

The international student enrollment of Lishui University adopts the Application-evaluation System, which is comprehensively evaluated according to the applicant’s achievements and other qualification certificates.

(1) Basic conditions

Applicants from overseas seeking admission to our undergraduate programs and long-term study programs shall meet the following criteria simultaneously:

a. Applicants shall hold foreign citizenship, possess a foreign passport, and demonstrate goodwill towards China.

b. Applicants should have an academic qualification or certificate equivalent to graduating from a Chinese senior high school and be under the age of 25.

c. Applicants should have proper moral conduct and shall provide a recent Certificate of No Criminal Record issued within the last three months, along with a school performance evaluation (certificate).

d. Applicants should have the financial capacity to study and live in China, providing a creditworthiness certificate of no less than RMB 35,000 and bank statements from the past six months.

e. Applicants shall be in good health and provide a recent Certificate of Health Examination issued within the last three months, applicable for visa processing.

(2) Specific conditions

Applicants for undergraduate programs shall also meet the following conditions:

a. Applicants shall provide transcripts equivalent to the Chinese National University Entrance Examination (Gaokao), meeting the following criteria:

a1.Grades of subjects rated D or above should not be less than 70%.

a2.Applicants for English-taught programs shall provide proof of passing internationally recognised English proficiency tests.

a3.For applicants to the Nursing Science, individual grades in chemistry or biology shall not be lower than C.

a4.For applicants to the Computer Science and Technology program, individual grades in mathematics or physics shall not be lower than C.

Application Documents to Apply Lishui University

1. Scanned copy of passport valid for at least one year

3. High school transcripts and examination transcripts equivalent to the National University Entrance Examination

4. Language proficiency certificate: Applicants shall provide TOEFL or IELTS scores or other evidence demonstrating their English proficiency (applicants whose official language is English are exempt).

7. Bank statements proving the ability to cover one year of living and study expenses (at least RMB 35,000)

8. Personal ID photo within six months (white background, two inches)

Application Deadline for Lishui University

The application period for the autumn semester of 2024 commences on April 15, 2024, and ends on July 15, 2024.

Note: Applicants shall submit their application materials and remit the application fee and prepayment of tuition fees to the designated account by the deadline.

Note:

1)Admitted degree students are required to pay annual fees, while language students pay fees based on their study duration. Insurance fees shall be settled within three days after the student’s arrival in China upon passing the medical examination. Accommodation fees shall be settled within two weeks from the registration date. Once registered, tuition fees are non-refundable if students transfer or withdraw midway through the semester, while accommodation fees may be refunded based on actual occupancy.

2)According to the regulations of the Chinese Ministry of Education, international students studying at our university shall purchase comprehensive medical insurance for international students in mainland China annually. Students who fail to purchase the required comprehensive medical insurance on time shall not be registered by the school.

3) As for nursing major, the nursing uniform fee is approximately RMB 120.
