DIAKITE SIRIMAN is an outstanding foreign graduate student which studied in Yangtze University. Here is his story:
My name is DIAKITE Siriman. I’m from Mali. The year 2018 has seen the fulfillment of my lifelong dream: studying in china, the country that is inspiring African nations engaged in the noble path of development.
Coming to Study in Yangtze University
Jingzhou city, where is located Yangtze University, is an ancient city in China. September 11th, 2018 was my first day of Study in Yangtze University with warm welcome of School of International Education.
This felt particular good and heartwarming since I was far from my home country.
New student orientation classes were the first courses I had on my first arrival at Yangtze University. The class was mainly about campus safety, academic life, and discipline to help us for a safe and happy stay.
For the first time, I had to work with students from the five continents (Africa, Europe, Asia, America, and Oceania) in the same classroom. That was a great opportunity!
It was like the “United Nations” in the classroom of Yangtze University.
Neither the color of the skins, nor the languages, nor religions were the same. But, despite our differences, we develop a sincere friendship and that friendship is one of the things I am the most proud.
We sometimes meet at the nice restaurants around and share the delights of Chinese and other national foods.
About Life of Study in Yangtze University
Yangtze University has created the conditions for living together.
The School of International Education it by initiating and encouraging the participation of international students in sports and cultural activities. The University is equipped with appropriate infrastructure and equipment for those activities.
After class, we meet at the appropriate places to practice all kinds of sports (football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, martial arts, gym …).
As a postgraduate student in Landscape Architecture at the School of Urban Construction of Yangtze University, I regularly participated in various learning activities, published the article, and wrote the thesis.
Since I came, I had been working at my office with Chinese students who were friendly.
It was fascinating that I also had work sessions with my supervisor Yanan Wang twice a week.
The type of pedagogical approach was incredibly efficient.
I’m very proud to be an alumnus of the at Yangtze University.
I’m grateful to the Chinese government for my scholarship.
I’m also grateful to all teachers from School of Urban Construction and School of International Education for their continuous help. It’s helping me to fulfill my dream in every sense.
