Introduction
North China University of Technology was founded in 1946, which is located in Shijingshan District, Beijing. The university has an elegant environment and a rich cultural atmosphere, acquiring a reputation as”Top Ten Beautiful Campuses of Beijing”.
NCUT has established a multi-level and wide coverage education system from undergraduate to master’s and doctoral students, from full-time to adult higher education and international students education.
It has two doctoral degree authorization in frst-level disciplines, namely mechanical engineering and control science and engineering, one “Serving the country’s special needs doctoral talent training project”, 18 first-level disciplinesfor master’s degrees, 10 master’s degree categories, and 39 majors for undergraduate enrollment.
NCUT has 13 national first-class undergraduate majors, 20 Beijing municipal first-class undergraduate majors, 2 first-classmajors in Beijing universities (key construction), 8 majors that have passed education certification (evaluation) and 4 majors that have passed the ACBSP international business professional certification. 33 national frst-classcourses, high-quality undergraduate courses, textbooks and courseware (including key) in Beijing colleges anduniversities have been approved.
NCUT has established 29 national, provincial and ministerial teaching and research platforms, and has won 2 new engineering research and practice projects, 1 new liberal arts researchand reform practice project of the linistry of Education, and 18 “undergraduate teaching reform and innovation projects” of Beijing higher education.
Since 2003, NCUT has won 2 second prizes of the National Education and Teaching Achievement Award, 1 special prize, 17 first prizes and 31 second prizes of the Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award.
