II.Chinese Language Program at NBU
Ningbo University’s Chinese Language Program is designed for students aiming to gain proficiency in Mandarin and immerse themselves in Chinese culture. This full-time program provides intensive language instruction focused on listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with students placed in beginner, intermediate, or advanced levels based on a placement test.
In addition to language courses, students can participate in cultural workshops and events, such as Chinese calligraphy, tea ceremonies, and guided tours to Ningbo’s historic and cultural sites. 5.1 Eligibility Requirements
• Age: 18-50 years old
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Health: Must meet health standards for physical and mental well-being.

1. Create an Account

2. Submit Application and Documents
• Complete the application form, ensuring all required documents are included.
3. Application Fee Payment
• Pay the ¥500 CNY non-refundable application fee.
4. Final Admission
• Upon pre-admission, pay tuition fees to secure formal admission documents (JW202/JW201 and Admission Notice), which will be necessary for the visa application process.
Note: Only X1 visa is accepted for one academic year language program and X2 visa for one semester language program.
