I.Introduction to Hubei University of Medicine
Hubei University of Medicine (HUM) is located in the center of Shiyan, Hubei Province, People’s Republic of China. Shiyan boasts several tourist attractions such as Wudang Mountain: a sacred place of Taoism, Danjiangkou Reservoir: the largest artificial freshwater lake in Asia and, Shengnongjia Forest. Shiyan is also known as the Motor City and one of the top ten charming cities in China.
Established in 1965, Hubei Univeristy of Medicine is a general institute of higher education with a focus on medicine with coordinated development of science,engineering, management and other disciplines. In 2017, the main discipline of Clinical Medicine was ranked in the top 1% of ESI in the world. The University has also been officially listed in “double first-class” univeristy construction in Hubei Province. The Univeristy covers 1,477.41 acres of land with campus and accommodation of 389,600 square meters and fixed assets of 1.385 billion RMB excluding affiliated hospitals.
HUM has over 18,000 full-time students including undergraduates and postgraduates, over 500 international students and over 1,000 faculty and staff. It offers 18 undergraduate programs, covering 4 fields which are medicine, science, management and engineering. The university hosts two nationally special majors, 5 provincial brand majors, 17 national and provincial quality courses, 4 provincial teaching demonstration centers, and 5 affiliated hospitals. Along with emphasis on undergraduate education, HUM is also developing postgraduate education, international education and continuing education.
HUM hassix provincially provincial key disciplines, eight Chutian Scholars( the outstanding talent project initiated by Hubei provincial government) based disciplines, four authorized master’s programs, two academician working stations, one national laboratory, 13 provincially key laboratories, and 10 scientific research institutes related to precilinical, regenerative medicine, reproductive medicine, clinical medicine, organ transplantation as well as hepatological surgery. In recent years, researchers at HUM have undertaken 71 provincial and ministerial research projects, 59 provincial and ministerial research awards have been granted, 210 research projects were accredited, and 225 patents were awarded. 956 articles were published in SCI, EI, and ISTP. Articles published in Nature and Cell Metabolism had drawn great attention at home and abroad.
HUM has cultivated international relationships by exchange and collaboration with universities in America, England, Australia, Japan, Korea and other nations, promoting the development of disciplines and internationalization.

III.Application Requirements:
Students are required to send the following application documents via email, fax or hand-deliver to the School of International Education according to the requirements:
1. Fill out the Hubei University of Medicine International Students Application Form (which can be downloaded from the website of he School of International Education)
2. Photocopy of passport
3. Diploma and transcript from the highest level of education completed
4.HSK4 certificate
5. Four passport photos
6. Photocopy of medical examination form
7. Students who have already studied at other universities in China must present a China visa and residency permit, as well as a sealed transfer approval letter from their former universities.
