I. University Profile
Guilin Medical University (GLMU) is located in the world-renowned landscape city of Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a provincial public university directly under the Guangxi government, recognized as one of the first “Outstanding Doctor Education and Training Program” pilot institutions by the Ministry of Education and an excellent institution in undergraduate teaching evaluations.
Founded in 1935, GLMU has developed over 90 years into a comprehensive medical education system covering undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral programs across five disciplines: medicine, science, management, law, and engineering.
The university has three campuses, 20 schools/departments, three directly affiliated hospitals, and 28 clinical teaching hospitals. It offers 27 undergraduate programs, five first-level master’s degree programs, eight professional master’s programs, and one professional doctoral program. GLMU has established a postdoctoral research station for clinical medicine. Both Clinical Medicine and Pharmacology & Toxicology disciplines rank in the top 1% globally by ESI.
GLMU enrolls nearly 30,000 students and employs over 6,500 faculty and medical staff, including 89 doctoral supervisors and over 1,000 master’s supervisors.
Approved in 1993 to admit international students, GLMU established its International Education College in 2007. It has trained over 700 international students from 16 countries in Asia, Africa, and the Americas. The university collaborates with 20+ institutions in Australia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, the U.S., Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Vietnam, Nepal, and others.
II. Eligibility
(1) Eligible Countries: ASEAN nations (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam).
(2) Requirements:
- Valid passport holder; generally under 25 years old; physically and mentally healthy.
- Friendly to China, compliant with Chinese laws and university regulations; no criminal record.
- High school diploma or equivalent with excellent academic performance (no failing grades).
- Not a recipient of other Chinese government scholarships.

一、学校简介
桂林医学院坐落于驰名中外的山水名城——广西桂林市，是广西壮族自治区直属普通高等学校，是教育部第一批“卓越医生教育培养计划”项目试点高校、教育部本科教学工作水平评估优秀高校。
学校建校于1935年，经过九十年的发展与建设，现已建立起涵盖本科、硕士、博士和博士后的完整医学人才培养体系，涉及医学、理学、管理学、法学、工学5大领域。
学校现有三个校区，设有20个学院（系、部），3所直属附属医院、28所临床教学实习医院。学校设有27个本科专业，有一级学科硕士学位授权点5个、硕士专业学位授权点8个，博士专业学位授权点1个。学校已获批临床医学博士后科研流动站。临床医学学科和药理学与毒理学学科进入ESI全球排名前1%行列。
