China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) is a national key university directly 

under the Ministry of Education, a member of the “211 Project,” “985 Advantageous Disciplines

Innovation Platform Project,” and a “Double First-Class” university. It is one of the first 

batch of universities in the national industry-university-research strategic alliance. In 1960 

and 1978, the university was designated as a national key university twice and is one of the 

first batch of universities in the country with the authority to confer doctoral and master’s 

degrees, with a graduate school. The university has two campuses: the Xueyuan Road Campus is 

located in the Haidian District of Beijing, where many universities are gathered, and the Shahe

Campus is located in the Changping Shahe Higher Education District of Beijing.

Ⅱ. Application Requirements and

 

Required Materials

 

 

 

1. Application Requirements

 

(1) Foreign citizens who are in good physical and mental health, abide by the law, and hold

 a valid passport.

 

(2) Undergraduate applicants must be under 25 years old (self-funded students under 30 years 

old), master’s applicants under 35 years old, and doctoral applicants under 40 years old.

 

(3) Undergraduate applicants should have a high school diploma, master’s applicants shouldhave an academic degree equivalent to a Chinese bachelor’s degree, and doctoral applicants 

should have an academic degree equivalent to a Chinese master’s degree.

 

(4) Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must hold an HSK-4 level (or above) Chinese 

proficiency certificate. Applicants for English-taught programs must demonstrate the corresponding 

language proficiency.

 

 

 

2.Required Materials

 

(1) Admission application form.

 

(2) Academic degree certificate.

 

(3) Academic transcript.

 

(4) Plan for study (research) in China.

 

(5) Two letters of recommendation.

 

(6) Copy of the applicant’s passport.

 

(7) Foreigner’s Physical Examination Record.

 

(8) Language proficiency certificate.

 

(9) Certificate of no criminal record.

 

(10) Certificate from the financial guarantor of the applicant and bank statement.

 

(11) Electronic version of a two-inch color photo with a blue background, and after registration,

 10 paper copies of the same version must be submitted.

 

Ⅲ. Academic System and Fees

 

1. Academic System

 

Undergraduates: 4 years

 

Master’s students: 3 years

 

Doctoral students: 4 years

 

 

 

2. Tuition Fees

 

Undergraduates: 20,600 RMB

 

Master’s students: 28,800 RMB

 

Doctoral students: 33,000 RMB

 

 

 

3. Accomodation Fees

 

Double room: 900 RMB/person/month

 

 

 

4. Medical Insurance Fees

 

800 RMB/person/year

 

 

 

 

Ⅳ. Scholarship

 

1.Chinese Government Scholarship

 

 

 

(1) Chinese Government Scholarship (Type A)

 

Applicants must submit their applications directly through their local embassy or consulate.

For contact information of Chinese embassies and consulates abroad, please inquire through

the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. The application period is generally 

from November of the current year to February of the following year. When filling out the “

Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form,” please indicate “China University of Mining 

and Technology (Beijing)” as the first choice for “Application University.”

 

 

 

(2) Chinese Government Scholarship (Type B)

 

Log in to https://international.cumtb.edu.cn/index.htm, register, and upload materials as 

required. Log in to https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/, register, and upload materials as required.

 

The code for China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) is: 11413; please select the 

scholarship project type uniformly as: B.

 

 

 

2. Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students

 

Self-funded international students can consult the International Students Office after admission 

and registration.
