About Gansu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Gansu University of Chinese Medicine, jointly established by Gansu Provincial People’s Government and National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a “Pilot Reform of Education and Training Plan for Excellent Doctors (Traditional Chinese Medicine)” approved by the Ministry of Education and National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, providing “Chinese Government Scholarship” for overseas students and integrated “5 +3” education for Chinese medicine majors.
The school has Heping Campus, Wulipu Campus, Dingxi Campus and Gannan Campus, and each campus plays a different role respectively: education base for undergraduate talent, education base for high-level talent and adults, training base for applied professional talent and training base for ethnic medical talent.
Our headquarters has 20 teaching institutions, 4 directly affiliated institutions and 3 scientific research institutions.There are 4 directly affiliated hospitals, 8 non-directly affiliated hospitals and 125 practical teaching bases (including 10 affiliated hospitals).The university is equipped with 10 provincial teaching teams and 6 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers. At present, it enrolls students from 15 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government). The university now has 15,990 full-time students, including 11,997 undergraduates, 1,662 junior college students, 1,993 graduate students, 125 doctoral students and more than 120 international students, with the employment rate of graduates remaining above 90% for years.Our university is the only Chinese medicine university with the right to confer doctoral degrees in Northwest China.

IV. Applicant eligibility
1. Non-Chinese nationality, with a valid foreign passport;
2. Degree and age requirements:
Applicants for master’s degree programs are required to hold bachelor’s degree certificates of relevant majors and be no more than 35 years old; Applicants for doctorate programs shall hold relevant professional master’s degree certificates and be no more than 40 years old;
3. Applicants shall not have received any other form of Chinese government scholarship.
V. Contents and standards of scholarship: refer to the contents and standards stipulated in the Rules for Chinese Government Scholarship Program.
VI. Expenses payable by students
1. Teaching material fee: charged as required;
2. Dormitory deposit: for students admitted for Chinese preparatory study, the fees shall be charged in line with standards of preparatory schools.

VIII. Application process
1. Log in to the online registration system of Chinese government scholarship at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/register to apply (organization code of Gansu University of Chinese Medicine: 10735, program type: B)
2. Upload scanned copies of the following application materials in the registration system as required
(1) The first page of a valid foreign passport;
(2) Notarized highest academic qualifications, degrees and transcripts (For applicants who are students, please submit Certificate of Enrollment issued by the school);
(3) HSK Level 4 certificate;
(4) Study or research proposal for future studies in China (written in Chinese or English, with no less than 800 words);
(5) Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors;
(6) Physical Examination Form for Foreigners (within 6 months of validity);
(7) Proof of no criminal record;
(8) Other materials that prove applicant’s academic ability or participation in social activities.
Note: if all the above materials are not in Chinese or English, please attach a notarized Chinese or English certificate. Applicants who fail to provide complete materials will not be accepted.

IV. Applicant eligibility:
1. Non-Chinese nationality, with a valid foreign passport;
2. Age limit: Bachelor’s degree program: 18-25 years old
Master’s degree program: 18-35 years old
Doctoral degree program: 25-45 years old
3. Applicants shall not have received any other form of Chinese government scholarship;
4. Applicants with the HSK certificate are preferred.

(6) Physical Examination Form for Foreigners (within 6 months of validity);
(7) Proof of no criminal record;
(8) Other materials that prove applicant’s academic ability or participation in social activities.
