The Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology (BIPT) was founded in 1978, which was led by Beijing Municipality in 2000 other than Sinopec Group back then. BIPT is now well-equipped with education facilities. It has three campuses located in Qingyuan, Kangzhuang, and Yanshan respectively, covering an area of 76.77 acres with 296,000 square meters of construction space. The Institute is also home to 1.07 million physical books, 1.24 million digital books,nearly 40 databases as well as other teaching and research equipment worth 740 million yuan.
