Shanghai Metro’s Airport Link Line will begin operations on Dec 27, connecting Hongqiao International Airport and Pudong International Airport, with a travel time of around 40 minutes.
The 68.6-kilometer rail line currently consists of seven stations, running at 14-minute intervals at an approximate speed of 160 km per hour.
The seven stations are Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2, Zhongchun Road, Jinghong Road, South Sanlin, East Kangqiao, Shanghai International Resort and Pudong Airport Terminal 1&2.
Zhongchun Road is the only station available to transfer inside and passengers need to check for transfers at the other three interchange stations at present.

Operations timetable:
The first trains from both terminal stations will depart at 6 am and the last trains will depart at 10 pm each day.

Ticket prices:
The starting price for the line is 4 yuan ($0.55) and the maximum price is currently 26 yuan.
If passengers transfer to subway lines, the price will be calculated according to traveling routes, while the starting price will be charged only once.
Travel tips:
1. There are two types of trains in operation for the Airport Link Line — four carriages and eight carriages. Passengers need to pay attention to the station broadcasts and the notice screens for real-time directions to the right platforms and waiting points.
2. All carriages are equipped with phone and computer charging points, specially designed high-speed train seats, internal lighting and information display screens.
3. All seven stations are equipped with open gates for checking in, with passengers notified through green arrows shown on the check-in machines.
4. All stations have toilets, childcare units and essential accessible facilities such as blind pathways, barrier-free gates and elevators.
5. All stations are equipped with manual service desks and electronic noticeboards with real-time information and directions.
