Shanghai is expected to see its lowest temperature plunge to freezing point on Nov 28 as a strong cold front, which started to hit the city on Nov 25, continues to drive the mercury down.
That’s according to the National Meteorological Center, which indicated that as the cold wave continues to advance, the metropolis is predicted to experience extreme low temperatures around the morning of Nov 28, with the urban center experiencing lows of only 3 C and suburban areas nearing freezing point.
However, starting Nov 29, the city’s weather is expected to gradually warm up. Temperatures over the weekend and into the early part of next week are forecasted to range between 6 C and 15 C, offering some relief from the current cold snap.
