The construction plan of Hangzhou Future International Performing Arts Center was announced on November 21, spanning 143,000 square meters, including facilities like a concert hall, a grand theater, and a multi-functional center.
In shape of the mountain, its design is inspired by silk and bluish green of paintings in the Song Dynasty. The architectural form is staggered, with overlapping spaces under eaves, as well as waterside outdoor lawn theater, interpreting the concept that the cultural space serves the people. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2028.
