A few days ago, Hangzhou was identified as one of the six pilot cities participate in an eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft) pilot program by the Central Air Traffic Control Committee.
eVTOL can vertically take off and land without the need for runways, having low noise, high cost performance, environmental protection, and other advantages.
In the future, eVTOL is expected to provide low-altitude tourism, short-distance transportation, and urban center travel services in Hangzhou.
It’s estimated that the price of taking eVTOL is slightly higher than that of the taxi, and it may be reduced with large-scale application, making eVTOL become the “sky taxi”.
