Nov 12 – Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining met with Wu Fulin, chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China, and representatives from official export credit agencies of various countries, who were in Shanghai to attend the 29th Asian EXIM Banks Annual Meeting.

Chen invited the Export-Import Bank of China to seize opportunities in digitalization, intelligence, and green development by leveraging Shanghai’s international platform. He encouraged the bankers to set up more institutions, businesses and projects in Shanghai.

Wu, together with Tanks Akihiko, president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Yoon Hee-sung, chairman and president of the Export-Import Bank of Korea, and Dato’ Charon Wardini Mokhzani, independent non-executive chairman of the EXIM Bank of Malaysia, highlighted Shanghai’s status as a premier investment destination for global businesses.

They expressed the forum’s dedication to providing increased financial support for economic and trade exchanges, cross-border investments, and industrial transformation.

Chen encouraged DSV to leverage its strengths and increase its investment in Shanghai. The company is planning to enhance exchanges and help upstream and downstream enterprises establish a green supply chain system.

Lund praised Shanghai’s shipping logistics. He expressed the group’s commitment to forging closer partnerships with Chinese enterprises, offering efficient, green, and low-carbon professional services to assist businesses in going global.
