Through a codeshare agreement with Air Europa, a China Eastern-managed flight made its debut in Peru on Nov 13.
Following the 31st Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Lima, Peru, and in response to the APEC Putrajaya Vision 2040, the service will inject new momentum into Asia-Pacific and global economic growth.
Passengers on the new route can print their boarding passes for the connecting flights at the origin airport and check their luggage through to the final destination.
They can transfer within the same terminal in Madrid without checking in again, avoiding the need for a transit visa and baggage re-handling.
Peru is a country in South America with a notably high concentration of overseas Chinese. The launch of the flight route will boost air travel service to both Chinese and international travelers, including Peru’s Chinese community.
The air route is expected to promote deeper exchanges between China and Peru.
