Shanghai’s bus line No 71 will extend its route, providing a convenient link between the National Exhibition and Convention Center—the venue for the 7th China International Import Expo—and prominent landmarks across the city.
That’s for the duration of the annual expo, scheduled to take place in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.
The specially designated buses servicing the CIIE main venue will feature distinctive decorations and passengers will benefit from bilingual services to cater to the diverse international attendees expected at the event.
The bus stop at the National Exhibition and Convention Center is situated at the P5 parking lot, facilitating seamless transportation for visitors.
Renowned for its direct connections to Shanghai’s most iconic tourist destinations and business hubs, bus line No 71 offers a convenient and scenic route that passes by key city landmarks.
These include Jing’an Temple, the People’s Square and the Oriental Pearl Tower, among others.
CIIE attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy complimentary bus rides by presenting their CIIE passports, streamlining their travel experience to and from the expo venue.
Additionally, the CIIE passport will entitle holders to discounts for visiting select landmarks and tourist attractions in the city, including popular destinations like the Oriental Pearl Tower and Huangpu River cruises.
By expanding the reach of bus line No 71 to encompass essential locations for CIIE participants, Shanghai aims to enhance its accessibility, promote tourism and facilitate fluid transportation for visitors during the international trade event.
