Popular Little Bear Park showcases Hangzhou’s grand green vision

Hangzhou’s new “Little Bear Park”, located at the intersection of Binsheng Road and Tonghe Road, is capturing the hearts of visitors.

Hidden within the park is a unique “zoo” featuring adorable animals like deer, bears, and rabbits–all cleverly crafted from plants as three-dimensional floral sculptures. Alongside these plant-made creatures, the park boasts two large musical note installations crafted from seasonal flowers, creating a perfect backdrop for photos.

This park is just one part of Hangzhou’s overarching green vision. According to the Hangzhou Green Space System Plan (2021-2035), by 2035, the city aims to provide each resident with at least 17 square meters of parkland, ensure over 95% of the population lives within a park’s service radius, and maintain a minimum of 43% green coverage across the city.

By then, Hangzhou residents will enjoy even more parks right at their doorstep. The plan includes 30 new countryside parks, over 150 urban parks, more than 300 community parks, and 500 pocket parks, ensuring greenery within 300 meters and a park within 500 meters of every home.
