Five iconic terraces along the Bund waterfront – One on the Bund, Fosun Foundation Shanghai, Three on the Bund, Wanda Reign on the Bund, and BAI work – have been opened to the public for free reservations, inviting residents and tourists to soak in the scenic views of the Bund’s waterfront.
The initiative, known as “Terrace Art Season”, is part of the ongoing 2024 Bund International Art Festival, which kicked off on the evening of Sept 26 in Shanghai.
The art festival was launched by Huangpu district, where the Bund is located, under its 2022 “Art of the Bund” brand initiative to attract more art institutions and artists.
This year marks the festival’s second edition, featuring the debut of the terrace project to allow more residents and visitors to enjoy the panoramic views of the Bund waterfront.

To enhance the experiential aspect for visitors, each of the five terraces has been adorned with anywhere door art installations, presenting artistic door frames and utilizing augmented reality technology to showcase architectural entrances, creatively connecting historic landmarks to modern waterfront attractions.
The terrace project also represents a collaborative exploration of integrated consumption among businesses in the Bund area. Ongoing promotions include various discounts offered by China Construction Bank, the exclusive financial partner for the program, to its credit card holders when making purchases on designated platforms, special gifts, limited sugar art and exclusive drinks prepared by Three on the Bund, as well as cultural and creative products offered by Fosun Foundation Shanghai.
Jiushi Cultural Communication company has also launched a combined ticket product called the Art of the Bund 2024 combo ticket, priced at 188 yuan ($26.8). This ticket grants one visit to each of 11 renowned art venues in the Huangpu district, including the Jiushi Art Museum, Rockbund Art Museum, and Fosun Foundation Shanghai. Additionally, ticket holders can enjoy discounts on coffee and exquisite afternoon tea, as well as vouchers for hotels and entertainment venues, with total benefits exceeding 900 yuan.
The “Terrace Art Season” will run through Nov 24, with reservation available on the “Terrace Art Season” (露台艺术季) WeChat mini-program.
