The opening ceremony of the 2024 “Live, Learn, Love in Guangzhou” Chinese Speech Contest for International Friends.
The 2024 “Live, Learn, Love in Guangzhou” Chinese Speech Contest for International Friends kicked off in Guangzhou on Aug 30.
Approximately 50 attendees, comprising representatives from all foreign affairs offices in Guangzhou, international districts, foreign chambers of commerce, international colleges, enterprises, and foreign expatriates in Guangzhou alongside media members, participated in the ceremony.
The competition, hosted by the Guangzhou People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, invites foreign expats in Guangzhou to participate. Guangzhou 5idea Education Technology provides the required training and support. After self-study and training, foreign expats will present speeches on “My Guangzhou Story” and advance through the preliminary and final rounds.
This competition aims to improve the Chinese language proficiency of foreign expats, deepen their knowledge of Guangzhou, and facilitate cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and foreign countries.
