Hubei’s trade volume within the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) region has totaled 6.636 billion yuan since the RCEP came into force three years ago, official data showed on Feb. 20.
Imported goods worth over 1.822 billion yuan in Hubei have benefited from the RCEP.
Meanwhile, Wuhan Customs issued 16,000 RCEP certificates of origin, benefiting exported goods worth over 4.814 billion yuan.
The RCEP comprises 15 countries, including 10 countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, as well as China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
Three years on, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the world’s largest free trade agreement by GDP, has become a testament to the power of economic integration.
