The Global Harbor twin towers, located in Shanghai’s Putuo district, are giving the public an opportunity to leave their mark on the city’s skyline.
The observation platform perched at the peak of the twin towers offers breathtaking views of the cityscape and is now seeking a name through a public naming campaign.
Soaring 258 meters above the city, the observation deck is popular among both locals and tourists, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Shanghai’s skyline and landmarks.
To highlight its status as a must-visit destination, Global Harbor is inviting the public to take part in its naming campaign. The winner will receive a lifetime of free entries to the deck along with a 5,000-yuan ($689.53) reward.
The Global Harbor, located on North Zhongshan Road, stands out with its Neo-classical design adorned with a blend of European architectural elements, giving it a sense of grandeur and sophistication.
Previously reserved for exclusive events like weddings and business functions, the top floors of the twin skyscrapers finally opened their doors to the public at the start of this year’s Spring Festival.
Since it became publicly accessible, the observation deck has drawn over 10,000 visitors eager for a look at the stunning aerial views, including iconic landmarks such as the Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai Jinmao Tower, and Shanghai Tower, nearby educational institutions like East China Normal University and East China University of Political Science and Law, and the serene Changfeng Park.
To enhance the visitor experience and create lasting memories, the Global Harbor plans to introduce additional services such as photo booths and interactive visitor comment walls, adding personal touch to the viewing experience.
Those interested in participating in the naming campaign can do so by following the official WeChat account of the Global Harbor and submitting the required information. The campaign is open for entries until March 9.
