According to Beijing Meteorological Service, Beijing will see mostly sunny and cloudy days from today (February 24) to the end of February. By the end of this month, temperatures are expected to rise steadily from 9°C to around 14°C in the daytime and to about 3°C at night. Precautions are advised on February 25 as strong north winds will arrive during the day, with gusts up to force 5 or 6.

According to the meteorological authority, the city will see a sharp increase in temperatures and an even bigger day-night temperature gap starting next week. It will be sunny and warm at noon, and dry and cold in the morning and evening. Please adjust your clothes accordingly and keep warm in the mornings and evenings.
Beijing’s red plum and spring jasmine have already bloomed quietly. It is expected that the first blooming phase of spring jasmine in the urban area will last from February 20 to 25, while that for those in suburban areas will start near the end of February. The best viewing period is between early March and the end of March, during which people will find them in full bloom in major parks and even by the roadside. The best viewing period of the red plum flowers is from the end of February to mid March, while the first blooming phase will last from February 18 to February 25. Wintersweet flowers can still be spotted in late February. In March, mountain peach blossoms and magnolia flowers will bloom one after another.
