On February 18, 2025 Beijing Sports Events Calendar, themed “Dual Olympic City, A Vibrant Beijing”, was officially released. In 2025, Beijing plans to host more than 1,280 types of events, including 198 high-level and high-impact “Dual Olympic 100” quality events.
The 2025 Beijing Sports Events Calendar is based on the “Dual Olympic 100” high-quality sports events system, which arranges the events throughout the year month by month. It determines the four quarter themes of “New-Year Season, Vibrant Season, Passionate Season, Ice-Snow Season” and 12 monthly themes based on the characteristics of the events. It also specially uses “crown” and “diamond” to mark major events that held in Beijing for the first time and key recommended events respectively.
In order to further promote the integrated development of culture, commerce, tourism and sports, the tour route named “Travel with the Events” has also been introduced. The five themed tour routes correspondingly combine popular events such as the International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament of the University Games, China Smash 2025 and China Open, covering different seasons and different regions, each with its own characteristics.
