Hangzhou launches cultural tourism products to serve inbound tourists

With visa-free policies, Hangzhou attracts numerous foreign tourists. In addition to the traditional scenic spots such as West Lake, foreign tourists are keen on visiting Liangzhu Ancient City Site, Southern Song Deshou Palace, and other museums and exhibition halls.

They are also interested in Hangzhou’s digital economy, science & technology, etc.

In 2024, the number of inbound overnight tourists achieved a year-on-year growth of 107.8 percent. During the Spring Festival period, the number of inbound travel orders increased by 54 percent.

Hangzhou launches the tourist product “Hangzhou, a Window to China’s 5,000-year History”, and the service platform “AI Hangzhou Easy Tour”, to improve the quality of tourist services. It also formulates Hangzhou Travel Guide (English Version) to promote Hangzhou’s culture, history, intangible cultural heritages and other features.
