By the end of 2024, Beijing had a total of 115 unicorn enterprises with a combined valuation of USD 594.9 billion, continuing to rank first in China in both number and valuation.
In addition, Beijing’s innovation achievements are springing up. By the end of November 2024, Beijing had 658,000 valid invention patents, up 16 percent year-on-year. The number of invention patents per 10,000 people reached 301.1, ranking first in China, with a year-on-year increase of 15.9 percent.
