To celebrate the silver jubilee of Macao’s homecoming, Francisco Martinez and Eledir Busanello, two expats from Brazil now residing in Shenzhen, set off on a cultural adventure to the heart of this vibrant city on Friday.

Their visit, part of the Shenzhen Global Communication Ambassadors program, took them through the Historic Center of Macao, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Immersed in the fusion of Portuguese and Chinese cultures, they marveled at the stunning architecture, explored historic landmarks like the Ruins of St. Paul’s, and savored Macao’s unique cuisine.

For them, the trip was a profound experience — one that not only deepened their appreciation for Macao’s rich cultural fusion but also highlighted the city’s role as a bridge between East and West.
