Beijing Subway Now Connects Seven Railway Stations and Two Airports

On December 15, with the connection of Phase I of Beijing Subway’s Line 3 (Dongsi Shitiao – Dongbabei) to Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station, Beijing’s seven major railway stations (Beijing Railway Station, Beijing North Railway Station, Beijing West Railway Station, Qinghe Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing Fengtai Railway Station, and Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station) and two airports (Beijing Capital International Airport and Beijing Daxing International Airport) can now all be reached via subway.

Phase I of Line 3 has 10 stations and allows transfers to other subway lines such as Line 2, Line 10, Line 12, Line 14 and Line 17. The connection to Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station provides railway passengers with more convenient public transportation options to and from the station.

Additionally, Line 12 (Sijiqing Qiao to Dongbabei), nicknamed the “Underground North 3rd Ring Road”, was opened on the same day. This line connects to 12 other lines, including Lines 4, 5, 8, and the Capital Airport Express.
