Hangzhou takes “Gentle Childcare in Hangzhou” as its city brand, focuses on the care problems of infants aged 0-3, and launches multiple innovative initiatives.
As one of the national demonstration cities supporting the development of affordable childcare services, Hangzhou overfulfils the annual target: it sets up 92 children’s health management centers, trains 3,482 childcare practitioners, and holds 3,547 childcare activities, to benefit 42,000 families, and the parents’ satisfaction is up to 93.57 percent. Children accepting affordable childcare occupy over 75 percent; among them, the number of infants who are below 2 years old reaches 5,539.
Hangzhou also implements more than 50 personalized birth support measures, accumulatively distributing the childcare subsidy of 107 million yuan and the pregnancy & birth and child-rearing subsidy of 159 million yuan.
